Disclaimer: I talk excessively quickly and bounce around a lot so if you don’t have ADHD it might be hard to follow.
Tips mentioned in the video:
➡️ Pomodoro technique
➡️ High 5 Habit book - Mel Robbins
➡️ Dedicating time to self-care
➡️ Scheduling your time - I love to use Google Calendar because it breaks my days into hours.
➡️ Invest in some healthy meal supplements if your appetite is lacking, I enjoy the Huel banana shake.
➡️ Journal
➡️ Research and join Adhd communities
Please be aware this is my personal experience and you should speak to a professional before making any decisions.

Literally watched your video last week about getting diagnosed and today just got my diagnosis. Psychiatrist is putting me on the exact same drug and all I have to say is thanks for putting up these videos. It's great to hear actual experiences of this stuff, especially from the UK. Anyway, hope you're doing well, thanks for uploading.

Thank you so much for sharing your experience with me and congratulations on your diagnosis! I hope the Xag agrees with you and you’re able to start noticing some positives without experience side effects. Definitely combo the meds with self help & implementing some better routines and new habits. Thank you so much for your warm wishes. Always appreciate this even more when they arrive on a bad day! X

I have ADHD inattentive, and go to bed late. My attention at work is on everything, like the screaming kids, beeps from the till, every conversation around me and the guy on a lawn mower and the bird in the tree. Then accused of no listening. Paying attention to detail, and making stupid mistakes. Then as if I'm not already in enough trouble I forget the store room key, and gone home with it. Then if I blindly lost time in the morning, I'm late. So I have learned to tell white lies, and excuses for being late or forgetfulness. One thing to remember when you feel down is if it's not life threatening don't worry about it. And remember people with ADHD are intelligent just lack dopamine levels and saratonin.

That's such a tough one! Perhaps you could get some reasonable adjustments made at work to help alleviate some of those situations that clash with your ADHD? Yes, it's definitely worth us all remembering that when we make mistakes. We're only human and can only do so much. 😌

I really like this video cause it's a very realistic depiction of taking meds. like, I hear people say "oh just take meds for that" all the time and I feel like a lot of people like me who don't take meds have rose coloured glasses about meds as if they are a fixall. it might be life changing but you encounter new struggles with side effects and still have the rest of your life to deal with, so I think it's important to be aware of that.

Thank you, I appreciate you! Definitely not a life changer *for me* and I think it’s a disservice to promote them as such. You’re spot on, even if you find a brand and dose that work for you it doesn’t stop you breaking a habit that’s been built up over 20 years, that’s part of your self-development and that has the potential to be life changing but only after months and years of working on it 😌

I feel like I'm on this journey of discovering/recognising our adhd traits together. It can be a bit of an alienating process so really, really, THANK YOU. please keep it up. I'm off to try find your Instagram so I can follow you there 😊.

I'm sorry you don't feel very happy and that's why you feel the need to be nasty on the internet. It's not my intention to give people hope, I'm not a life coach or a motivational speaker. This video is called "Learning to live with MY ADHD". If you're looking for other people to give you hope about your own life you'll never find it, your happiness is your responsibility, good luck!

Here's a video that might help you reconsider the way you speak to neurodiverse people you've never met on the internet: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/f7OVdtt1tsDJoY0.html she also does a lot of ADHD hacking videos. I hope she can help you improve your life so you can give yourself hope.
