Main ones being the ability to use differential motor control plus to switch the PWM INPUTS into being PWM OUTPUTS when using a serial receiver Input (PPM/S-bus/iBus/CRSF/ELRS) The Settings Item order is quite a bit different too. 1 of the issues you could resolve with regard to your older version is that an old American guy on the RCGroups forums on this FC says that he CANNOT change the ITEM 30 Mode CH from ch5 to ch6 on his. (needed to use a 3-position switch for Mode selection on our ELRS receivers since ch5 is only a 2-position channel.) On the Sparrow 3 he says this can be done (using the ITEM 26 MODE-CH on his Sparrow 3.) We couldn't get you to check your older version to confirm/disprove this? 🤔😉

You need to provide a separate bec for the vtx and cam rail like the manual said. You probably can use a connector from the 5v rail to the vtx/cam rail as long as your 5v bec can power it all. My opinion is to take a 2nd bec for the vtx/cam rail so the supply is clean from noise. Or use a jumper and feed the vtx/cam with battery power. Last one is what i do. Almost all cams and vtx's handle 4s minimum. Side note the servo rail and video rail are completely separate from each other except the ground.

Thanks for your fast reply! My current set up is getting the cam's power supply(7v max) from the vtx(up to 24v) but the video wire is in the cam port. Which is a very messy wiring set up, i do use 3s and 4s batteries thats why im worried frying my cam lol.

@@YumaGoto-tw7mpno problem! i understand. You have to think about your setup then. The wiring can be very easy when stuff is matching! You can order a bunch of cheap step down converters on aliexpress and feed your video stuff with that! You only need to the jr servo connectors to the converter so you can wire it up easy.

@@YumaGoto-tw7mp You probably just need to cut the 3-wire cable between the camera and the VTX, extend the wires as needed and add a servo plug to each side of the cut. With them plugged into the sparrow's VTX and Camera ports the camera will still be getting the same correct voltage from the VTX regulator - DON'T add the jumper on the sparrow!!! The VTX can be supplied direct from the battery.

Yes im busy too make a video. Its a lot of work haha. Channel 5 is a mode switch between manual/acro, stabilize and rth/cruise. If you flick ch5 a couple times the menu will pop up. Is this what you want to know? Unfortunately English is not my main language so maybe my grammar is not the best and makes it a bit harder to understand.

@@dutchfpv9254 I was told ch5 can only be used for arming with Express LRS receivers. Thus reprogramming for mode selection is complicated. I will watch other videos for my solution. Thank you for responding. - Jim

You have to flick the mode switch once or twice. Then the menu will open. Navigate to the 33th line(last one) with your right stick (tx mode 2)-push right 👉 to select-and then select English! Push left 👈 again to safe. If channels reversed you have to figure out which side you have to push. Let me know of you need a vid

yep. It needs 5 volt on the servo rail. That will power the osd chip.

Yep. But that problem is mostly in the transmitting part and a bit more complex

When you use Sbus it should activate rth. Test it out on the ground with gps lock. When negative you need to set a failsave position on your rx so when it looses signal it will select rth. Hard to know what happens without knowing your setup
