LEG DAY for Muscle GROWTH! (Extremely High Intensity)

Alright here is my second leg day of this training split, starting out with a lying hamstring curl, since I am currently prioritizing my hamstrings, and training them at the start of my session when I am completely fresh, will allow me to get the most out of them. Next up is a pendulum squat, I honestly forgot how good of a machine this is, if you are lucky enough to have this at your gym then you better be fucking using it. After that is just a set of leg press, yes just the 1, singular not plural, and if you’re asking me max why are you only doing one set, well because this is how hard we’re training. Back to some leg curls after that this time on the seated machine, as I am currently doing 2 hamstring exercises on each leg day for a total of 4 sets per session and 8 per week. Then none other than the infamous leg extension sissy squat superset taking leg extensions to complete failure until the weight simply will not move, and then immediately following that up with sissy squats. And to finish off, we’re doing 1 set of hip adduction because why not, and then of course calves which again were not filmed.

Full Workout: Lying Leg Curls - 2x 5-7 Pendulum Squat - 2x 5-7 Leg Press - 1x 5-7 Seated Leg Curls - 2x 5-7 Leg Extensions - 2x 8-10 Sissy squats - 2x AMRAP Standing calf raises - 2x 8-10 For those of you asking why I'm only doing 2 sets for most exercises, I'll make a more detailed video explaining it. But I'm currently training with extremely high intensity (pretty much every set to failure or 0 RIR) and it's kind of unnecessary to do anything more. When your intensity is high, you don't need too much volume to stimulate growth, and the main focus should always be on progressing each week. Looking to get protein powder, creatine, or any other supplements? Go to tidd.ly/3k9BR9d and use code "MAXE" at checkout for 40% off!

Tbh I think 13 sets to failure in one session is too much, you should try toning down the volume or re-organizing the exercices in order to minimize fatigue (shortened one not at the end, lying leg extension instead of doing a superset and unilateral calf work). Solid workout though.

Something that has helped my quad growth is 60-70% training max front squats for sets of 8 after conventional deadlift. My posterior chain is fried after deadlift so forces the quads to truly take the weight and push the growth.

There is no diet for a specific day, you'll have to change your overall eating habits and make sure you get all your macros in sufficient amounts (calories, protein, carbs). I usually stick to eating chicken, eggs, potatoes, brown rice, greek yogurt, oatmeal, and of course protein shakes with added ingredients like peanut butter, chia seeds, and bananas. Sorry if this is a lot, I hope it helps bro 🙏🏻

starting a leg day with lying leg curls will not take away from your ability to squat (maybe a bit if you do a very hingey low bar) and will allow you to give hams some more love. and if squats give your knees some issue, doing leg curls before might actually help. only problem with this is if you care about performance on stuff like deads, RDLs or SLDLs. if so, do the leg curls later on
