This episode Has Proven that you CAN Lock up the darkness

Seeing Eobard Thawne legitimately unsettled about something was great to see! Matt Letscher killed it as always. Same goes for Neal McDonough and John Barrowman.

CW is killing with these shows. Its amazing to see a relatively smaller network producing such quality across all of their programs. Arrow improving this season, Legends is so fun to watch, and The Flash is just always good.

Maybe my favorite Legends of Tomorrow episode thus far. Black Flash was legit kinda terrifying. Props to Matt Letscher for selling that fear so well. Not sure how I feel about him being full CGI, it was effective enough though.

guys after the reverse flash killed Barry mom after flash point he and Barry ran to the present just after Barry dad died. When they ran back the showed a quick montage of what happened. They showed that everything in season 1 actually did happen and in the previous Flash episode cisco referred to reverse flash as Harrison Wells when he was talking to hr. If you rewatch the end of the flash point episode you will understand. Hope this helps

Legends is incredible this season. Season 1 was pretty good, but damn am I enjoying Legends the most out of all the series.

The way I see it, when Flashpoint was reset to the original timeline, everything went as it was supposed to (Reverse-Flash gets trapped after killing Nora Allen, becomes Harrison Wells, blows up the particle accelerator, creates the Flash, and gets erased by Eddie). However, the version of the Reverse-Flash we see on Legends is a time remnant of the Flashpoint timeline.

Is it wrong that I kind of want the villains to succeed? They may be used a lot but I find them so entertaining that I don't want them gone. I love how this episode had them struggling to work together and teaming up at the end. It's like a story line that'd happen with the legends but flipped. I'm curious how the season will end for them. I just hope BF doesn't take RF away. I want him to use the spear and stay! Btw that ending was so funny XD And loved your BF reactions!

i wonder if Hunter's mind is in Black Flash consciously, like is he like "oh shit, what did these wraiths do to me? Why do i chase this stupid man from the future, .. i should have won against Allen, what happened to me?" Or is he a completely new being without memories?

The reason why eobard thawne is still alive even though he was erased from existence is because he was pulled from the timeline by barry when he created flashpoint and even after barry reset the timeline eobard still lives outside of time because the eobard thawne from the 2024 timeline still kills barrys mother and get stranded which is what leads to the events of season one. You have to rememebr that the thawne we see in LoT is an eobard thawne from the new 2014 timeline in where barry gets his powers in 2014 instead of 2020. one proof of this is in season 2 where we see the version of eobard that didnt kill barry mom. Thats the eobard thawne from the new timeline where barry gets his powers in 2014. You hve to think of it as time trying to correct itself to have events happen the way it did in the 2024 timeline. Becuse in the 2024 timeline eobard does the same thing he did in season 2 except not in 2016 because his barry did not get his powers until 2020. So now going to to season 2 finale the eobard thats about to kill barrys mom is the new timelines version of eobard and he was stopped by barry.Now if he was to kill barry mom in the exact way that 2024 eobard did then he wouldve followed in the same fate as that thawne. But because he was pulled out the timeline he doesnt share that fate. And everything from season one will still happen because the 2024 eobard already has killed nora allen and that will never change. Hopefully someone understands this lol.

That Reverse Flash became a time remnant. He did not experience becoming Wells. But because he shouldn't exist in the timeline cause of the ending of season 1, the Time Wraith's start chasing him.

I think the Legion brainwashed Rip Hunter to go through time and create multiple "aberrations" in order to keep the Legends distracted while they look for the spear. The Black Flash was an awesome addition. RF's performance during that scene was great. When you have good villains, you have a hit.

when Barry Allen went back in time and stopped RF he created a timeline where RF was not there. but when he fixed it by taking reverse flash back to fix the timeline instead of going forward in that time RF still had his speed so he went further back in time. so till the supposition of RF returing back in the same point in time when he killed Nora Allen exists the present time line won't be changed.

I've read somewhere that speedsters don't need a flash ring or anything to carry their suit. In the comics, speedsters were able to forge their own suit straight from the speed force... so kind of like speed force armour. So it wouldn't be impossible for time wraiths to reconfigure Zoom's suit slightly to fit that of the black flash via the speed force.

The black flash is like a Grimm reaper for speedsters. He only comes when he needs to take away a dead speedster.

This Reverse Flash is the Flashpoint Reverse Flash That Berry carried with him to the new timeline to "kill" his mother. The original Reverse Flash became Harrison Wells, but this one did not. This character basically pics up from the Flash S3 Ep2.

I don't know what terrified me more, seeing black flash in action or the look of fear that was in thawn's eyes.

I find it odd that stein never recognized thawnes yellow suit . I thought at first he didn't recognize reverse flash cause he only saw thawne as Harrison but that's not true , he saw thawnes true face when he was being erased from existence .

Regarding the Reverse Flash, what i understood from it was, the version of him that was erased from the timeline was the one that had already killed Nora, lost his speed and then lived 15 years in the past creating Barry as Flash and all that we saw. The one that is right now on Legends, the one that Barry captured, was a younger version of Eobard that had not yet killed Nora by that time, so he had not yet lived through all that stuff to the point where Eddie kills himself to erase him. So even after Barry decided to let history run its course and allow the Reverse Flash to kill Nora, since when Barry returned we learned that it was not exactly the same timeline it was before flashpoint, we have to assume that instead of doing what was supposed to happen, Eobard just went a different path and decided to do these things we are watching on Legends. Or at least, thats what i gathered from it... lots of back to the future stuff, but i think it makes a pretty decent sense lol By the way, since Eddie is coming back to Flash sometime soon, i think its pretty safe to assume that whatever happened to THIS new timeline Reverse Flash was different from what we saw on season 01. What do you guys think?

So, I'm 100% sure that this is not 100% right, this is just how I'm remembering things and how I understood them (so don't yell at me if I'm wrong) but I'm going to try and put together The Reverse-Flash's confusing timeline (I'm for sure I'm going to get some things wrong and I could be forgetting things so please feel free to correct me if you know). Eobard was born, grew up admiring The Flash from his museums, went to college to become a CSI, and then recreated the experiment to give himself speedster abilities like The Flash. He then went back in time to, presumably, sometime in between 2020 and 2024 (the time in which Barry became The Flash and vanished in a Crisis(going back in time to stop RF from killing his younger self)) and became The Flash's enemy. (The following is the part I'm not 100% sure on) Eobard figures out who Barry is then decides to run back in time and kill Barry's younger self because killing The Flash now is difficult. Barry follows him and prevents him from killing younger Barry but out of rage RF kills Nora Allen, thus causing the "Crisis" that causes Barry to vanish and leaves RF in the year 2000 without his speed (in which the events of Season 1 play out as they're supposed to). Now the Season 1 finale, Eddie kills himself causing Eobard to be erased from existence, but a future Eobard had already started to travel back in time to find out who The Flash is (this being after becoming an enemy of The Flash in the future( and this also being where he came out in S2E11(right?)). So time-remnant Eobard (I'm going to refer to this one as TRE) after the end of S2E11 is sent back into the future in which the events play out the same as the OG timeline (being that RF learns Barry's identity and goes back in time to kill his Mom(as I mentioned above). So the S2 finale, Barry goes back and stops TRE(this being the one that went through the events of S2E11) from killing his Mom, thus creating Flashpoint. Okay so obviously I had to get some things wrong in there so if you know what was wrong then feel free to correct me (in a calm and non-aggressive way) and I'm definitely going to get some of this next part wrong. Now, after Barry saves his mom from dying (and the S1 Flash has disappeared) he drags Thawne back to the future (pun intended) and keeps him captive for 6 months while Barry lives in Flashpoint. By the end of S3E1, Eobard had to return and stop S2 Barry, and kill Nora again. (Making this woman's last moments very hectic and horrible) Then Eobard brings Barry back to the present, then leaves. (This Eobard has not went through the events from 2000 to the end of Season 1 which is one of the reasons he is a time aberration) So Eobard having left, realizes he is being chased by Black Flash and not a regular Time Wraith (in which he has mastered evading) because he was erased from existence. So he recruits Damien Darhk from the 85 (after working with him before in the 40's) and Malcolm Merlyn from 2016 (Arrow S4 finale) to do a lot of his work and hunt for the Spear of Destiny (so he can re-write him being erased from existence) while he's running from Black Flash. Okay so as I've said above any corrections would be great and thank you for taking the time to read this as it's taken me twice to write this, the first time I wrote the 1st paragraph but my computer restarted so I had to re-write it again (which probably made it better to understand) and the 2nd time I accidently closed the window but I copied it before I did that. Hope this helps (probably not but this is how I understood it)

I think you're referring to the Christmas truce which took place during WW1 and it was between France, England, and Germany.

I suspect this Eobard is basically a form of a time remnant, pulled out of his normal timeline by the Flash when he created Flashpoint.

Maybe the Time Wraith's look like Zoom/Black Flash cause they actually are Zoom/Black Flash just the older decaying versions. The Time Wraith's getting Zoom could be one of those fixed points/events in time that can never truly be stopped, and since they exist outside of time they could be a culmination of an almost infinite number of timelines where its forced to happen sooner or later but still always happens no matter what.

I know a lot of people were frustrated by the team not just asking Barry about the speedster, but I actually appreciate the fact that the writers let the Legends figure it out on their own.

The reason why season 1 still happens even though Eobard is still running free right now is explained in the episode. The reason for season 1 still happening and Eobard still doing what he's doing in Legends is the fact that time has to cement. The Black Flash is the driving force of the cementing.

In Season 2 episode 11 it tells you why he is alive you can't kill someone in the past who is from the future. But I could be wrong

At first I was dissappointed that Black Flash was all CGI but it does make him more creepy and unnatural.

For now, I was thinking that Barry caused Flashpoint, Thawne took him back, killed his mother and then they jumped into the future. By jumping into the future, they go to a point where the future events (relative to RF killing Nora) occurred but they have no memory of what has happened as they skipped over it and took the place of the Barry and Eobard that existed in that messed up timeline. And somehow Eobard is stuck in a loop where he can exist.

Black Flash is death, he doesn't kill speedsters but drags them into the speed force. There actually is a death racer, death flash, and Flash has become God if Death (long story).

In regards to why Barry is no longer chased by the time wraiths. Barry learned that time wraiths won't chase you if you time travel and you KNOW what you're doing. This is what RF harrison wells told him. That's why RF is always able to time travel without consequence. He does it in a way where not much of the timeline is impacted and he can go on his merry way. Now one of the only events that contradicts this is when RF time traveled back CENTURIES from the future killed Barry's mom which almost stopped Barry from becoming the flash (This event where Barry wasn't able to become the flash is probably the reason why Thawne lost the speed force in his system because in the comics Barry Allen was the source of all the speed force after becoming the flash, so if Barry never became the flash then Thawne would have no speed to draw from the speed force). Why didn't the time wraiths pursue RF for this? Plot holes.

I miss Captain Cold. Him and Sara would have been one of the best couples in CW along with Barry and Iris. I better see him return to the show soon or else i'm going to lose my mind. Imagine Captain Cold just returning and finding out that Heatwave and Vixen like each other. Captain Cold: "How'd he get one already??" Who knew of all people Vixen likes Heatwave. Heatwave is the whole reason this show is as good as The Flash show. Idk if its better or about the same but one thing I do know is that Heatwave is literally the best part about Legends of Tomorrow. He is so funny. Basically, Heatwave is summed up as semi-psycho, loves to kill, loves to burn things, hates to show emotion in his actions, hates people knowing he cares for others, doesn't want to admit he likes the people he works with, doesn't like saying thee word "friend" and is quite dumb but strong; that's why he is so freaking funny. Honestly 10/10 acting with Heatwave XDXD lmao i love it.

The black flash is the grim reaper for people who use the speed force. when a speedster is dying, the speed force sends black flash to get them and return them back to the speed force.black flash is trying to get eobard because after the death of Eddie in the flash season 1 eobard is technically supposed to be dead so the speed force has sent black flash to get him.

Actually the reverse flash that barry held captive was the one who kills his mother. That other reverse flash you mentioned was the one with cisco when he was searching for what era/time flash was in so he could time it and come back and kill his mother etc etc. Barry stopped reverse flash from killing his mother, that created flashpoint. Fflashpoint was sementing so barry had to let him do what he was always meant to do Kill his mom. After flash let his mother die again, That's when barry came back said everything is normal and reverse flash said oh not exactly but you'll find out. And that's the reverse flash that we're seeing right now. And that's why we saw reminents of flashpoint in this timeline.

I was not expecting Zoom turned Black Flash in an episode of Legends. You'd think they'd save him for flash. Good job CW.

I prefer to call him the Ghost Rider of DC in a sense he is a servant of the speed force (The bad side of the speed force? I mayt be stretching that but hey it's my own weird way of putting it) so without all the passing on the essence of "Black Flash" (which I don't get why that's the name at all) and just seeks out vengeance for time. It's a theory of mine and probably a weird un-understandable way of putting it but, that's how I see it.

Favorite episode in the show so far Really hope they fill their ranks to counteract the Legends maybe add Black Siren cause at this point what else can she do for Arrow, not to mention add some diversity to the Legion, then adding what they do to Rip and the fact that an "early" version of Captain Cold will be joining that leaves one spot left so given the fact they're going to alter ALL of reality which probably includes other dimensions they could add a Supergirl villain to the group so here's hoping!

The jist is this: The events of season 1 Flash are irreconcilable, hence why when Thawne returns from Flashpoint, he is now being pursued by The Black Flash (The Speed Force senses an aberration and sends one of their agents to set it right). Thawne knows what happened and has figured that Zolomon (it's technically him!) is coming specifically for him, so he wants the Spear of Destiny to change reality so that he exists, regardless of what happened to Eddie (which, he hopes, gets the Black Flash off his back)

Either of you guys ever play Prince of Persia: Warrior Within? Due to his messing around of the timeline in the first game (Sands of Time) the Prince is being hunted by a relentless creature (the Dahaka) which is trying to erase him from existence as he is already supposed to be dead. The Prince has to keep moving to prevent it catching up to him.

At the end that has to be Eobard. He used that device to look like rip and is jacking stuff up. My thought at least

I think Eobard Thawne is going to end up back at the day Barry's mother dies at some point and that's when he's going to get stuck there, and that's how the events of season 1 will still be able to happen the way they did. He might even go back there because Zoom is chasing him. Maybe he realizes that he has to go back to the point where he was taken out of the timeline in order to get Zoom to stop chasing him, and that's why he needs Barry to get him back to his own time instead of himself. That way Zoom will chase Barry instead of him.

This reverse Flash is the same reverse Flash that got Barry out of the Flashpoint

But when Hunter/Zoom turned into Black Flash in the season 2 finale, he was all CGI there too, so I would imagine it would be hard to get Teddy play Black Flash if he was intended to be CGI
