Our lemon trees are laden with ripe lemons at the moment, so this is going to be a great recipe to try out. Thanks for the entertaining explanation!

If you don’t have a juicer, jam a fork into the 1/2 lemon, and squeeze while rotating the fork.

I made this wine to the recipe using the bananas for body. Started in late August. I racked the wine at the end of September as it continued to ferment until then. Stored it in a dark cupboard and bottled today. Jan 4th.

I have learned so much the past couple weeks. I tried my cider tonight I was quite happy! I could taste ALCOHOL! and a decent bit I think :P the best part is I used 100% ingredients from the fridge and pantry

This does sound like a nice wine have added it to my list of wines to do. I am liking the detail in this video Yellow lemons / bananas and hat plus the lime with the matching jumper its all in the detail.

I made this during the first Lockdown. I cooked the lemons too long and my whine tasted like Gin and Tonic. Quite bitter. But when I left it for 3 months in the fridge it became a sherry. LOL

I just made this today! I did a few things differently in that I used a muslin bag for all the lemon/lime and banana pieces, a different yeast too (I used red star premeir cuvee). Also I used a smidge more sugar at 4 3/4cups and my OG came out to 1.092 so I'm looking at 12-13%abv if it ferments to dry. I know you like 11% but I'm hoping the slightly higher abv will still be ok. Thank you for the recipe!

Looks good. A wine at even 8-9% would be enough for a 'session' wine though.
