Too many people define an artist's success by how big they are in the States -- the music industry in the states is fickle - one moment you're big with an album like Leona, Kylie, Dido, Bjork, Lilly, Keane (all great talent) - the next moment, they forget who you are because the same old generic beats are churned out by their own crop. Their radio stations are ageist too. It must be so hard to keep on cracking that market, knowing that even when you do, you've still gotta bash on the doors with relentless promotion & publicity tactics. Once was a time where there was a balanced ratio of European artists in the billboards - not anymore.
