I think LGBTQ+ awareness should be taught in schools. My Son was bullied relentlessly for being Gay (even though he wasn't 'out') I believe alot of it is ignorance and what they are taught by their parents. Alot of the time if the parents are openly homophobic then the kids pick up on this and think its acceptable behaviour. Edited to add. My Son is now out and proud and has found college to be a totally different experience to school.

I feel as though it should only be taught when a kid is 13 plus. When they're 5 it would just make them confused as there not as developed or mature.
