When you say ghe in cai ghe sofa and cai ghe it sounds different to me. The first one sounds like ghair whereas the second one sounds like ghay, can you explain the difference? I've always used the first sound.

+Signed Up we don't have the specific word for every type of noodle, but we have the name ò the food having noddle, like : phở, hủ tiếu, bún bò! Chopstick means "đũa" in vietnamese :)

+Signed Up haha! Im glad that you love the language, we'll try to make a lesson about that! Trái and quả is used for fruits, something round like ball, however, quả is used by the northern accent, we use Trái in the south! :)

Your room is not messy at all. And your house in Canada look very modern and very nice Em trai. Clip sau, nếu em trai bỏ "subtitles" trong clip lúc dạy từ mới sẽ tốt quá Em trai ơiiii! Anh nghe không kịp! hihi Mong Em có hiểu Anh đã viết gì! hihihi Cám ơn nhiều từ Thái Lan. Dạ, chưa có 1 câu hỏi nữa: In the South, shall I pronouce write "viết" with the y sound instead of the v sound ie. as "yiêt"?! I've noticed you have used the "v" sound in the clip. Thanks!

Kissapol Sirikittikul đúng vậy! Đúng rồi anh chữ "v" đọc thành "d" . Nhưng có vÌ chỗ em đọc V là em quên! Còn như Ti Vi hay Lò Vi Ba thì phải đọc là V ,vì đó là là từ lấy từ tiếng nước ngoài!

So, TV is "ti vi", sofa is"sô pha", and remote control is "rờ-mót"--gee, this is pretty easy! :) Good vocab lesson. At 1:25 it looked like you were holding a hairbrush, rather than a "comb" (YT subtitles said "comb"). At 6:16 is "cái kiếng" the proper term for a mirror (which was shown), as opposed to a glass?

thank you for the word hairbrush, i would call it a comb if you hadnt clarified that because in Vietnamese both of them are called "cái lược" 😂😂😂

in Southern Vietnamese "cái kiếng" is actually a mirror, kiếng is the name of the material "glass", but for a glass we call it "cái ly" the same as a cup, because we prefer to focus on the usage rather than the material

but when we want to specify the material to tell whether it is a plastic cup or a glass cup, we use the sinitic word "thuỷ tinh" for glass and say ly thuỷ tinh, we never say ly kiếng, but for a glass clauset we would call it tủ kiếng rather than tủ thuỷ tinh unless it is 100% made by glass 😂😂😂
