I love the fact that they imply that Apocalypse gave Prime Sinister defective augmentations on purpose. Probably to keep him in check.

Most likely Belasco due to the magic connection. But also looks a little like Ogun with Mother Righteous. Normally his mask is red though.

At 5:50 ....That's not C'thon........that's Belasco! One-time ruler of Limbo, he's the guy who abducted Magik, Colossus' sister, and made her who she is today. Just a guess, but it's a good one. Belasco was also missing an arm for most of his appearances, and if you look at this scene again, they're not showing his right arm, so...yeah. Also, Belasco being the ruler-ish of Limbo, knowing about magic, demons, otherworldly powers....that's right up Mother Righteous' alley!

I love it all, And my theory is that the Actual Original Dr. Nathaniel Essex is the Sinister who achieved Dominion status and created the clones as a safeguard in case he failed?! The other option is he created the clones to throw people off the trail of what he was actually doing to reach Dominion status?? Because what Mr. Sinister states when he reached for Dominion status in Year 1000 of the Sins of Sinister timeline, which stated that one was already there and that he was but food between his teeth!!!

The person Mother Righteous is hanging out @ 5:40 looks familiar. I forgot his name but he looks like the guy who was in Kitty Pryde/Wolverine mini-series from around the '80s, he was the main villain. I don't remember if he was supposed to be her father, or if it was something he claimed to be. It's been a while 😳

But Mother is more into Magic And Havoc and Cyclops aren't very much Magic Related Also Stasis is into Super Human and he was present in the Origin Stories of Cap, Hulk & Spider-Man So I wouldn't be surprised if each Sinister is related to Super Heroes in their respective roles Mr.Sinister = Mutants Dr.Stasis = Super Humans/Mutated Mother Righteous = Magic & Mystics Orbis = Technology & Aliens

The Dominion status was achieved by the 4th generation mutants When they destroyed the mute and breeding pets on Mars by creating a black hole. The dominion might not be sinister it could be Xavier.

Mister Sinister - clone of Essex's Hyde - focused on mutants. Doctor Stasis - clone of Essex's Jekyll - focused on post-humanity which also seems to be superhumanity. Mother Righteous - clone of Essex's wife - focused on magic, mystical items and mystical beings. Orbis Stellaris - clone of Essex's son? - focused on advanced technology, alien power and cybernetics. I still see the possibility of a story where mutants like Exodus, who no doubt sees mutants as humanity's gods, would see superhumans as a threat because of how similar they are to post humans. That mutantdom is god and superhumanity is blasphemy and must be dealt with. Maybe see humans doing magic as a threat as well that would involve Mother Righteous, since Doctor Strange is like a baseline human who learned the mystic arts, and Orbis Stellaris may have something to do with the advanced tech that earth has like making sure Reed Richards found that alien ship (Fantastic Four #271) to inspire humanity to advance in tech much quicker for him to use for his own purposes, since all four are using people for their own self-gain.

I really enjoyed this. Although I did like Sins of Sinister and how it tied up everything Sinister was planning from the get-go, if "Sins of Sinister" was something that actually focused on the "Sins" of Nathaniel Essex in the form of the "4 Essexes" I would have enjoyed that a lot. Maybe it's me, but I wonder if Gillen was inspired by the Fullmetal Alchemist villain Father. The Way Father created the Homunculus by separating basically every emotion or "vice" that makes up a human being in order to become the "perfect being." (In Sinster's case a "Dominion"). And what if it's original Nathaniel Essex who somehow achieves it? Oh! And You were wondering who that horned person was that Righteous was sitting beside... it looked like the demon Ogun. But I could be wrong. Great breakdown as always.

Mother Righteous awoke Apocalypse? Is she nuts... well yes lol Man do I miss the OG Apocalypse look and hope they bring it back. Unless it said so I do not believe Mother Righteous brought back Selene. Selene is an External and as such immortal, she will always come back and she has even used magic to do so to. Hell even Candra, a fellow External is back. As for Shaw, he originally didn't want Selene on the Council. But only changed his mind after he found out Selene was working a deal with Mother Righteous, and when Selene came back well they all 3 are working together now. Mother Righteous so took control of Mystique and made her kill poor Destiny, that was a hard one to watch.

Apocalypse has always historically killed anyone who woke him early- as a failure for not being strong enough to resolve issues by themselves.

@@uxm4life94 I forgot about that, and very true he would have likely killed her. I was going by what Blerd said, but after reading through it fully myself I see he was only guessing. The image only shows her standing there and nothing more. To me it looked like she was shocked, but it's hard to say for sure cause the image is small. I've also heard some else say she went to Apocalypse to learn magic. But that person was also just guessing and is wrong cause Apocalypse isn't a magic user and though he does have knowledge of it he is only really a dabbler.

@@TheOther644 it's well established who the magic users are in Marvel because they generally have to pull from the same power sources and can sense each others presence. Strange how neither Apocalypse or Mother Righteous mentioned in Mystic Arcana, Tarot, the Aged Ghengis tournament of ALL magic users, the search for a new Sorcerer Supreme, Inferno, Age of Kulan Gath or any Doctor Strange story. Apocalypse never really considered a magic user until Krakoa retcon.

@@uxm4life94 True, and they didn't make Apocalypse a big time magic user with this adding that he as some knowledge. Even Selene called him a dabbler and she is a straight up magic user and was once considered for Sorcerer Supreme. Marvel has a number of magic users that never appeared or mentioned in Mystic Arcana, Aged Ghengis Tournament or much of anything magic related. Like Soulfire, Candra, Soul and Selene and the last 2 are heavy hitter in the magic community. Marvel forgets a good number of these other magic users. Mother Righteous is new so she wouldn't be seen, we can look at it story wise that given her back story of staying hidden and still learning is why she was never seen in those events. Apocalypse knowing some magic makes sense give were he comes from, but yeah he was never even hinted at being a magic user. But since the Krakoa thing we see him reading and learning from the books he collected. That they didn't just go bang he suddenly knows magic was a good move, that and we see the spell he used to create the gate was copied from Candra.

My theory: Destiny sent the message backwards in time from Sins of Sinister, proposing an alliance with Sinister, but she meant Mother Righteous. The wrong person received it, either way.

Saying this recontextualizes Marvel history wrongly assumes that modern Marvel creators or fans have actually read the old comics or know anything about Marvel history beyond the movies, KZfaq videos and wikis. @@aqure9 so where was Mother Righteous during Shuma Gorath, Age of Kulan Gath, Kazar the Savage, Storm & Magik, Inferno etc? Where was Dr Stasis during WWII, Invaders, Weapon X, Shield etc. Where was any Sinister clone during Days of Future Past, Phoenix Saga, Coming of Galactus, Secret Wars 84, Secret Wars II, Legion Quest, Age of Apocalypse, Operation Zero Tolerance, Genosha, M day, Endangered Species, Planet X, 2nd Coming erc. How and why did Sinister unwittingly unleash Legacy virus with all this knowledge?? Where were all of them when High Evolutionary de-powered all mutants for 6 months?? Why did he need Suumers genetic material from Stryfe if he already had it? How come no telepaths, mystics, time travellers, Phoenix hosts, Skyfathers or cosmic gods figured any of this out? 55 years and thousands of issues make no sense anymore. I know a lot of new readers and modern Marvel don't care- but millions of X-men fans do. That's why sales are in the toilet now.

@@aqure9 a retcon that makes no sense? Decently written issue in it's own right. Gillen, Ewing and Hickman (as the instigator) have more talent than the rest of X-Slack. But too many embarrassing continuity issue have piled up. Krakoa and Avengers BC show how utterly incompetent modern Marvel editorial is. This continuity train wreck wouldn't have happened under Stan Lee, Roy Thomas, Jim Shooter or Mark Grunewald. Potentially a decent story here- ruined by too many titles, too many bad creative teams and lack of support from a editing team that has no idea what they're doing or grasp of X-men history.

Ya, I thought there's some glossing over going on here. How can this be a clone of Rebecca when she's supposed to be a clone of Nathaniel Essex? Loved this issue! It was so well played by both characters! MR plays such a good femme fatale and stasis is ACTUALLY in love but still ever scheming as a good sinister does. Really hope they bring back Mr sinister into the mix again!
