Let's Try to Fix Playstation 4 with a Stuck Eject Button - CUH-1200 PS4

In today's video we're going to take a look at this Sony Playstation 4 CUH-1200 model console that was purchased off eBay.
This particular PS4 has an eject button that is stuck. Diagnose & repair. Was definitely a lucky find!

Just to add if anybody is having difficulty with there eject button. Press options and it has an option to eject disk. Thanks again. I'm just hoping my OG ps4, lasts until the ps5 release.

hi, i have the same problem, my eject button is exactly like your, i try to open and clean it and put ir all back on, but still doen't work, any suggestion?

Same problem. Bought second hand and BOTH power and eject buttons are broken off the casing :(

How did you fix the problem? I bought a used ps4 it has the button losen up.

When I pulled the button out with tweezers it started working again. Upon further disassembly, there was some liquid damage and the button was all gunked up, which is why it stopped working :)

I pulled to hard and the eject button came out, is there a way to put it back on? If not ill just eject trough the home screen.

Yep, it will just slide back in. You'll see it has a few clips. You can slide it back in without disassembling the console as well.

Is it easy to put back the ejection button becuse my ps4 ejection is not working I'm thinking it got stuck do you think the same method will work

Sure is, it basically slides in and out when you unlock it. So you can just remove the bottom case, it is clipped in. Carefully unclip and slide out, then slide back in and it auto-locks.
