The Ukrainian Army's 93rd Mechanized Brigade is using a captured self-propelled howitzer, a 2S5 Giatsint-S, to hit back against Moscow's forces with their own shells. Several were captured after the retreat by Russian troops from the Kharkiv region during a sweeping Ukrainian counteroffensive.

Exactly. This is a battle against imperialism and Ukraine is the front line. Nobody in Europe is safe from the Russians, and the Chinese are watching how the world reacts with interest before considering their own expansion plans. Much like WWII, this is one we *have* to win - and Ukraine are doing an absolutely phenomenal job. They're not just repelling evil, they're keeping their humanity whilst doing so. They have shown us what they're made of, what they value, and what they can do when placed under pressure. NATO will be a stronger organisation with Ukraine's membership.

@@oldgreybeard2507 The Chinese & Xi are trying to actually play both sides of the fence, for very practical reasons: militarily and politically, they are as autocratic as Putin and the Russians; but the Chinese entire economy has been built to export to and to import from the US and Western Europe (very little actual trade with Russian beyond them importing massive amounts of fossils and given Russian massive cash). The Chinese and Communism can't survive being sanctioned directly and harshly against, like what the US and 95% of Western Europe & 90% of the most advanced nations of the world (South Korea, Japan, Taiwan, Australia, New Zeland etc) have done against Russia... They need the West as much as the reverse, for better and for worse, due to such extraordinary supply-demand trading activities.
