I really liked how transparent you are with dental school and your decision to not go forward to becoming a dentist, I’m 25 and have been going to school on and off ONLY to make my parents happy but I now realize that I don’t want to go through all that schooling just for them. It just won’t make me happy and I rather go to school for literature rather than nursing (which is what they want) because it will make ME happy. I might not make a lot of money at the end or have a “high status” with literature but I will be happy that I pursued something that I loved.

Hey Beanie! I think that's so thoughtful and reflective of you to think of that. I also went to medical school because my father told me to become a doctor/ dentist. I just wanted to go to art school lol I can't give anyone advice but what I found is that at some point, I found freedom in living my life for me and not my parents. Hey there my handsome and pretty little cobras! I always talk about doing the shadow work, so I figured, let's just do that together! If you feel like something is missing from your life, it might just be a thorn stuck in your subconscious. I got 11 things I want to share, so here are timestamps because I know we're busy and ain't nobody got time for that. Today's Timestamps: 1. Forgive yourself for past relationships 2. Let go of old friendships that died 3. What is the toxic sh*t you’re still holding onto? 4. Are you still living by your parents expectations? 5. Are you still carrying the mean words your ex said? 6. Are you still comparing yourself to *HER*? 7. Are you still using social media to validate yourself? 8. Are you still chasing style trends? 9. Are you still just mindlessly consuming content? 10. You still haven’t picked up a book? Or a journal? 11. Why are you spending money on xyz?

In all seriousness, when you said, "This society is so unforgiving on aging women." Says who? We convince ourselves about things that ain't even real. I'm 45. Okay, i'm "lucky" that i have a babyface (women talk about having a dad face but what about us guys who have a mom face? "But you're cute!" Then i say, "Well, girls don't wanna f cute, they wanna f masculine men with Dorito crumbed filled beards." And THAT maybe not even be true). I think you said your real age a few times and decided to cut that out. Why? If it's for privacy's sake, cool. But if it's because you don't want to share how OLD you are, that's silly. 30. 40. It's all young. It takes a lot out of me to say i'm young at 45 but when i say it and people hear it, they agree. Why? 'Cause it's true!

If you never went to college would it affect you being where you are now? In other words did having your degree play a part in you securing the job you have now? Im considering dropping out of art school right now

Hey Kellei! Thank you for the thoughtful question. Yes, I was a teacher before I went to medical school, and I current work in the education department, so I think it's important to have at least one degree/ paper in your hand. I finished medical school, and although I'm not using, it still shows employers I finish what I start. But at the end of the day, it's up to you and your own needs as to what you decide to do with art school! Best of luck, with any decision you do.
