Now we are getting to see what was buried on this dam over the years. Good progress and am enjoying this project.
@scottholman39822 жыл бұрын
That pond dam has a long and sordid history, it appears. Starting with a terribly inadequate overflow, which resulted in repeated washouts, leading to various pipes being put in, concrete being dumped into the voids, and who knows what other sins. What Chris does with this dam is amazing, practically building another dam behind it, but it is all sound when he finishes. I just wanted to review this initial phase of the project, after seeing it completed. Good video, Chris!

2:20 Tracks got quiet didn't they. Maybe you need to stock some barrels of "goopy mud" to lube the tracks now and then! lol. Jokes aside, watching Chris operate is such a joy to see, but his skills as a planner are of the highest caliber. He always has plans and backups for every stage to make the jobs look easy but they are not really that easy. Seen a lot of guys make a major mess of a job like this. Full blown cock ups for sure! Lot of people to watch who are operators, but watching Chris plan these things through is what makes me watch. Master at work.
@subvertedworld2 жыл бұрын
If I ever have a pond dug, I'm paying you to come down here and do it. It's damn near impossible to find an operator this good, and hard to find anyone I'd trust as much to do the work.

One of the main reasons I love your channel besides the before and after is the amount of finesse that you have with the machines, the way you can Use that excavator and so gently pick things up or move them, then just the pure power it has to rip through something with ease, so impressive! Love watching you do these projects

That extra concrete is a lot of help keeps the owner from half the buying extra Riff Raff to help on the Overflow system great job and great idea glad you thought of that LOL

Blessings to you from Ohio Chris! We've had a couple of beautiful days here this weekend. It has looked a lot like your weather there. So many steps that you have to do in the right order, but you always bring it all together. I love watching you work! It inspires me to get moving and do stuff after a long cold winter, like it's been. Being retired, ain't always what it's cracked up to be. Especially in the winter time. Looking forward to the next installments of this job and really any of your videos. I've learned a lot from you.

Great video Chris, as always. Thank You for fixing the Mic problem. I am hard of hearing, so I didn't want to mention it as I didn't see anyone else comment. Figuring it was just me, I kept it to myself. You're working through your plan, just like you promised. Not sure if others realize it or not. I for one, would never, ever know what or how a pond dam would be put together with the boxes and pipes. Without you, I'd never have known. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and operating skills with us.
