I am going to miss your Hazbin Hotel/Helluva Boss Re-Design vids, the way you explained design and the philosophies behind them actually inspired some of my own designs. Not for OCs but I've been designing clothes and motorcycles and the input you gave in your vids really helped keep my vision focused. You've essentially become my art teacher except I can actually engage in what you're saying and apply what you've taught without zoning out.

I still love the fact that Lucifer is the smallest of the sins, yet has the biggest ego. I really like the idea that Leviathan just hates everyone. I have an idea where he feeds off people’s anger and envy similar to how Honey feeds off their emotions. The more envy he receives, the more healthy he looks.

Now I’m just imagining all the sins in a meeting, Leviathan absolutely going after Belzebub, Asmodeus and Lucifer while Belphegor watches, amused, and Satan is cheering them on. All while Mammon is in a corner like “fucking why-“ (I imagine Mammon to me the neutral one in the dynamic, since he’d probably want to be on the good side of as many sins possible to get as many benefits as he could from them)

6:15 Something I heard about the difference between Envy and Jealousy is that while envy is about wanting to tear down someone else for supposedly having more than you, jealousy is moreso the fear of being replaced, hence the saying of God being a jealous god in not allowing worship of other idols.

Short Lucifer at the end is killing me. I love the embodiment of pride is the shortest of the sins. I know he hates it.

Couple that with the idea that Greed basically stole your color, and even though you literally have a portal to Hell as a MOUTH, A Fallen Angel, One of the most BEAUTIFUL, and GIFTED, who got sent down here for throwing a tantrum, gets the credit as the undisputed "King of Hell" while YOU'VE been in the Abbyss, keeping things running with only 2 others who can VAGUELY challenge you, before Lucifer was even a twinkle in God's eye! And when you finally try to stake your claim in the realm you LITERALLY hold the keys to, YOU GET SHOVED INTO ONE OF THE LOWEST RINGS. I don't care HOW long it's been since you've been shacking it up in Hell, and it might just be a "Me Personally" thing, but that's not just something you get over and get "chill" about. What makes it even worse, in Hazbin Hotel, Charlie, the Daughter of Lucifer, dated Seviathan, who is exactly who you think he is. Can you imagine how big of a spit in the face it is, to have your own SPAWN get all Lovey Dovey with the crotch goblin of the guy you hate the most? And you can't do ANYTHING because you'll create this giant uproar, among the other sins, and other demons, that'll be just a bigger mess to clean up. Unless Leviathan is constantly high off of Belphagor's drugs, Leviathan should be ravaging in the abyss so hard the entire Ring should feel it.

Yes finally someone gets it. Biblical Leviathan could be set up being the biggest threat in the series. Some texts even give it power to summon violent storms with terrible lightning and winds. Being a primordial sea beast with no choice but to live near the bottom of hell in an ocean and being forced to look up to other rings at lesser beings that your creator gave more freedom would create a bit of a touchy temper. I could see Leviathan being a master manipulator in how they operate, as in the description of "the gate to hell" in its mouth, turning everyone against each other with subtle comments. Only turning to their monstrous form as a last resort.

With the whole "envy is about destroying what's good about you" I think Leviathan would be a manipulative kind of villain. You know, the one who pulls the strings from the shadows. Specially thah they're already making a projection of himself in hell.

I LOVE how lucifer is still short. And in some way, it fits. As the other sins are more animal or monster like, yet lucifer is more human based, and from paintings, he is depicted as a human like angel. Because of this, i feel it would be more natural for him to be short. Now hes a short king fr.

I LOVE how you made Leviathan a sort of potential big bad antagonist, one of the critiques of HH and HB I have is lack of proper villains, HB TEASES them but it's hard to believe they gonna be anything serious, both Moxxies dad and Striker were teased as big villains but turned out to be a joke in Oops episode. So having deadly sin not just be evil, but also be a potential threat to Luci is amazing and makes youe version of HB world way more interesting than what Vivzi wrote 😊

I like the idea of the Atlantis city fueling people's envy, thats such a fun twist! Leviathan gives me Miranda Priestly vibes for some reason i feel like they could use fashion for the same kind of envy influencer scheme

I love your re-imagining of Leviathan. I really like the idea that Leviathan uses bones as part of their outfit.

I like the idea that the shark mobs are a sort of cooperative product between Leviathan and Mammon, especially since this would respond to a secondary element of the last episode published to date: We can see at several moments in the greed ring several reptilian-looking demons in addition to demon sharks which is strange given that each ring has an intelligent native species. So my headcanon is that these demon reptiles are the original native species of this ring.

I'm not going to lie, how you described what envy actually is perfectly describes the actions that one of my characters committed.

I can also imagine Leviathan taking a Davy Jones role. In his true form he will swallow sailors, ships, and armadas, sending them to Hell. There in his domain, the Abyss, he greets them in his avatar form where he will offer them to join his fold so he could get more souls than the other sins. Those who refuse will be thrown into the Abyss where they will fade from existence.

Envy being a sin that resonates with me the most and Leviathan being my favorite embodiment of it, this video is a pure treat. Not only because of personal reasons but also how educational your videos are with all the research and advice about character design. And I completly understand not being insterested in making Helluva/Hazbin content. I kinda lost hope in both shows when seeing the writing of HB's season 2

Leviathan looks so, just so neat. And the lore, despite lacking in some areas, has potential for a AU where theynrule over hell, and it is Lucifer who is not King. The potential is just staggering. Also I just like the name, Leviathan, as it just invokes a sense of size and overwhelming might. And the fact Leviathan is that tall, yet is only the body they use to interact with their fellow sins? That is spine chilling.

I seriously feel like the 7 circles of hell should have been based on different timelines and cultures. It would have added more to the world building and characters.

I absolutely LOVE you interpretation of theses characters, I also really like the way you did Mammon's and Leviathan's relationship which reminded me of my own interpretation of Mammon. So pretty much anyone who'd steal or betray Mammon would end up having valuable parts of them riped off and sold for a quick buck, so Mammon could also give some of theses parts to Leviathan. Just a little thought.

The gender fluidity is absolutely based This design just works in almost every way, She gives me a bit of the vibe of SkekMal from Dark Crystal and that is a _very_ good thing. I love his tail and his hair and of course the _LOOOOOOORE_ The main thing I'm going to miss about your hazbin/helluva vids is the amount of lore you teach us I've had a show idea based on hell for a while and your videos have helped me filter out information, find inconsistencies that could be fun to work with, and overall come up with ideas and dynamics for my seven sins characters and the way hell itself would work We love ya Be, no matter what you lean towards in the future

The concept of Leviathan tainting Earth's waters with her Abyssal essence is so fluid with poetic tragedy given their (deep) devotion to aquatic life and how mankind has in turn sullied the very waters rich with life. So envious is he of the waters within reach, yet powerless in obtaining its majesty. Interestingly, it could give credence to certain water rite ceremonies like holy/blessed/healing waters incorporating divinity as a sort of counter. Washing away the sin, in a sense.

Leviathan seriously looks like a Yakuza mob boss that knows eighty different ways to remove my eyes, and that's only for my eyes. Really? That’s the best thing you can come up with Viv? I love your work but damn. Out of all of the seven, Leviathan would probably be the coolest one to design, in my opinion. I always had the idea that their this typical giant sea creature just covered in eyes, like an extreme amount of eyes like some bloodborne boss. The idea is that no matter where Leviathan looks its gaze is always directed at someone who has something better than the rest of hell, and Leviathan, therefore would try and destroy what that person has out of envy, but at the same time cause Leviathan to forever linger in Envy and never being fulfilled because their gaze would move on another person as soon as one dies. Or something, idk the idea is still kinda of fresh.)

I myself am not big on bibical lore but i agree a primordial sea monster that was God's first creation shrunk down to a cool surfer dude just isn't it for me, and i dont see why they didn't go with sea monster when it's such a cool concept for when designing someone, a ruler at that 😭

There's something weirdly comical about how small Lucifer is compared to everyone else. It's like Shanks and the other Yonko.

I don’t know if anyone else has this problem, but I feel like the sins are made to seem very… unthreatening. When I picture the Sins I imagine powerful beings that could cause mass destruction, and are feared, but in HB they don’t seem like a threat. There are several examples of this: 1. Moxxie blatantly defies him and Millie stomps on Fizzarolli, but all they get is a slap on the wrist 2. Beelzebub tells Loona to get Blitz out of the party but she just blows her off (but does listen eventually after being threatened) 3. Crimson kidnaps Fizzarolli, and then calls Asmodeus the weakest and most threatening of the Sins… and Asmodeus does nothing but sit there and read/sign papers 4. Fizzarolli blatantly slanders and defies Mammon, but all Mammon does is yell at him, than make vague threats (though Asmodeus was there so idk) It just makes them seem like they are all bark no bite, and aren’t as powerful as they’re built up to be. We’ve seen more “power” feats from Stolas, and lore wise he’s supposed to be like a child to them

i really adored your analysis on biblical leviathan! id totally subscribe to a series thats seperate from hazbin and helluva but focuses on religion/legends/mythology around the world, breaking them down and designing them. you put so much thought into every design and i admire your thought process down to the execution. i remember you mentioning you have adhd which is probably why cause im in the process of getting screened for au/dhd. lov u!

I always wanted to get into the biblical lore but never really got invested by reading it- so I love your videos where you explain it and also make very very good looking designs with a plot! Honestly, you should just write and design your own universe based on biblical lore at this point.

I already love this Leviathan design and lore so much. Its getting to the point with HB that the sins being "not so bad guys" is just frustrating. A few, fine. I'm fine with Bee and Ozzy being a bit more relaxed i guess. But I'm really hoping that the one saving grace with Mammon is that he's actually just fully a prick at minimum, and not in a "my dick is the biggest in all the land and you all have to suck it" kind of way that Viv also enjoys doing which is also getting grating. We've seen his ring and how much of a shit hole it is and how fucked up some of its citizens are, if he's gonna keep his own ring in check under him he better be a damn force to be reckoned with. Like Crimson, and probably a majority of Greed thinking Ozzy is the weakest sin, i hope they view Mammon as one of the most powerful. And knowing that canon Leviathan is going to be a "chill surfer dude" I'm already tired of it. Like c'mon, the ring filled with Karens and entitled assholes is ruled by a "chill surfer"?? Be for real

Just notice that the reason that vivi made envy purple is to probably make a nice rainbow with rings hince why pride is red and is on top, to make the cool water running down in sloth they had to put envy over it. Kicking out the light blue replacing it with pink. Idk they could have move some rings around like gluttony and lust and even changed their colours but my theory they wanted sloth to be at the very bottom to say something like as heavy as deep sleep to keep the rings up🤷‍♀️

Leviathan looks so cool. I love the deep sea green. I know a lot of people think of blue when they think of the ocean but there are actually parts of the sea that are a naturally gorgeous green color so you changing envy back to green really fits. As for the outfit I get the vibe that leviathan is like a pirate king who’s all “I will live how I please” but will also kill and subjugate anyone in leviathan’s path. I’d like to think that the reason leviathan hasn’t tried to take over hell is because God gave the order not to try anything funny because hell is just as much Lucifer’s punishment for doing bad things as it is for humans so leviathan begrudgingly doesn’t try to overthrow Lucifer but also takes some joy from it as leviathan knows Lucifer absolutely hates being there and is very miserable. Though unfortunately since leviathan allows Lucifer to rule hell it kinda accidentally boosted his ego so their interactions are just a back and forward petty cat fight of insults and snipes at each other. At least that’s how I picture it in my head. Anyway love the art and I understand being tired of the show though I look forward to your next artistic venture.
