wow, Osorio is SO fast. There were so many shots that I thought she'd never get but she did. Fernandez just kept hitting winners tho and didn't get discouraged, she has the heart of a lion that young woman.

Not only was Miss Fernandez repping Canada but also the beautiful countries that are the Philippines and Ecuador. The atmosphere felt like an Ecuador V Colombia match which is very special. She defends her title which seems almost impossible in modern WTA, but I hardly had any doubt that she would throughout the entire week. We might be witnessing one of the future greats of women's tennis in Leylah. Spare a thought for Camila who also had an excellent week here and had 5-6 MPs but Leylah had nerves of steel to stay in this match and snatch victory from the jaws of defeat.

For those claiming that this win is tainted or that Leylah somehow cheated...That is absolute BS and a pile of childish ignorance. Those folks are likely mostly sore Emma fans who still have not moved on from the USO...which is quite pathetic. The lights flickered and some went out. Leylah had a legit complaint. She asked if they could fix the ones that were out and they agreed and did. Not her fault it took 15 minutes. Don't tell me other players would not have done the same. Most if not all would have in the same situation. Leylah has also had to deal with all kinds of delays from others...all players have to deal with those situations... Selective outrage is lame at least be consistent. Camila is a professional and a grown woman. It is up to her to deal with that and regroup back in the game. It is not like she had won several points in a row and had momentum. Give me a break it was a battle at deuce. Camilia had six chances at match point. You would think that if Leylah did something egregious there would be some booing from the crowd. I heard nothing...quite the opposite as they were chanting her name and clapping. It was a fantastic match...don't sour with conspiracy theories and hyperboles.
