Im an Arsenal fan, first and foremost, but as a Canadian im also a really big Ryan Reynolds fan too. Been following the wrexham story since he and Rob bought in, and its been incredible watching it all unfold. Can only imagine what it feels like for wrexham fans. As an American living in New Jersey, I'm so close to Canada...yet so, so far away....that I can't swing on by for a bit. And that is a bummer for me. I told you Ryan isn't leaving you guys anytime soon I'm sure. The more confidence the players get, the better they do...and there are a lot of us cheering for them and the town!

Looking at other clubs finances, bigger clubs in particular Wrexham are in a very good position and are a great story. Wish the English commentators would give them their props. If I had a dollar for every time I hear “Hollywood Money” I’d donate the hundreds to the club.

@@DS9TREK Man City and Newcastle are in a different level on terms of money. Man City is being investigated for 119 FFP Violations, they deserve every bit of flack they receive. Especially when there are teams being stripped of points for a single violation. City have 119 and still are allowed to function as usual until the investigation is complete. Then what do you think the EPL or whoever is going to do to the cash cow that is CITEH?

I’m so pleased for Wrexham! You’ve made some big spend and it seems to have paid off! Long may it continue!! As a Pompey fan I’m so pleased to have our owner Michael Eisner put his money in the right paces, it’s not been the meteoric rise that Wrexham have had, but we have finally made our way back to the championship! This does mean we won’t see you in league 1 which is was looking forward too. But at the rate you are going I don’t think it will be too long before we meet on the pitch! Thank god for finally having great owners who really care and follow through with their promises hey!! Great video!!

i hate to imagine how much all the big clubs are in debt, which in itself is weird as if a company had those sort of finical problems they would be placed into receivership, and their assets sold off to pay for the aforementioned debt

Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney had a good idea of how to sell the team to the USA and Canada. Until now, here in Canada, I've been following Oxford United only because of Football Manager (my first team managed, been playing them since 2009 now), but now I'm rooting for Wrexham too. Especially since our local FC shut down. :( So there's a reality, if Oxford doesn't go up in promotion playoffs, that Oxford and Wrexham will be facing off now.

Modern football runs on passionate philanthropists. It's a world that loses money. The only clubs that can hope to make money are those that rank between 5 and 15th in the championship (so as not to go to Europe leagues) and that have a training center to sell their players.

@LiamRobertsWxm I wonder how much revenue from overseas they could have made if they hadn't run out of jerseys so long ago and never restocked them (at least as far as I'm aware). I've checked for the 3rd kit (Black) Jersey, and even for the normal home jersey, around once every week or ten days, for months, and it's never been in stock in any reasonable size (M, L, XL). They would have sold two of them to my family in Seattle.

paul mullins' stats are spiked. remember he was originally from league 1, so playing in league 2 is an overqualified skillset. so the fact that he couldn't get the top scorer of the league, says alot about him. he's past his peak. when Wrexham plays in league 1, paul mullins may not be enough to keep out of relegation. they'll need to find a better striker to replace.

It’s all funny money. The sole reason Harvey is around is to navigate the financial rules of the EFL. He helped write them so he knows them inside and out. I sure hope the town take advantage of the spot light. Wrexham is similar to Appalachia. Decimated by mines shutting down and steel dumping by China and India. Many towns have reinvented themselves, many more haven’t. I’d hate to see this opportunity to get pissed away.
