YES! FINALLY SOMEONE WHO UNDERSTANDS THE DILEMMA IM IN. Whether i should save money on the ATX psu or just go for the better aesthetics . This clarified my doubts and enabled me to make my decision. Thanks!

Excellent review, I also much prefer original dynamic mini for aesthetics, I bought 3080ti fe now just deciding should I buy 5900x or wait for new intel in few months with pcie 5.0 ddr5 … Do you think is it worth it to wait?

Sir can i use 140mm fan in side panel, i mean the official website lian li that's true just support 120mm with 2 fan, but if i put 140mm that's still fit or no? Thx

The front fan mounting bracket might be an issue for some 280mm AIOs, as well as bottom fan clearance if you decide to do radiator tube down while front mounting said AIO. The spacing gets very tight if you front mount a 280mm AIO with radiator tube down, where push configuration is not possible if you have 2x 140mm bottom mounting fans as the tubes will collide with the fans. If you decide to do a pull configuration by mounting the radiator to the fan mounting bracket, that will also not work because the radiator will be too long and the brackets will not slide into their lock position. The solution? Zip ties. In conclusion, if you don't want the hassles, just go with a 240mm AIO. Ps. I have the Deepcool Castle 280EX.

Gorges case and built. I'm wondering, is there any vibration noise anywhere on that case, I heard some people have been experiencing vibrations from panels. Also, how is the fan noise in general, I am very sensitive to noise and prefer silence over performance. Thank you

Do you think you could drill out the rivets on the hard drive cage then replace it with the removable cage off of a O11D mini?

Chris, amazing efforts and the review is just oozing details :) , bless you. I got a minor question, I got the original O11 Mini with front panel glass, is there any accessories from Lian Li in the pipeline to buy and add a mesh with two front fans for extra cooling?

other reviews tell that the mesh is too small to bring air in (static pressure very bad). what do u say about it ?

Don't know if you've heard yet but they are releasing it with a revised mesh pattern to fix airflow problems.

No dust filters in vital areas is disappointing. Going to wait and see if there are aftermarket options before I consider this. Basically raises the cost of the case.

So what I understand is, that at 4:30 we can NOT remove the cage at all? This is dissapointing and I really don't want to remove my GPU, cables and almost everything everytime to potentially remove the cooler. (for change or maintenance) This is really bad to be honest. Is it really riveted and not screwed? Thank you very much.

Watch the video of "GGF Events" (called $5000 Lian Li O11 Air Mini - Zero RGB). At 1:07 you can see the backside of the case and the cage has been removed. Unfortunately it isn´t mentioned how the cage can be removed. I was wondering just the same thing like you but still haven´t found an answer to it.

@@desperdoes But it does not look like you can just take it off by removing screws. In the GGF Video it looks like they removed the rivets at all. Check the rear of the case and the rivet points. They are blank. Then compare it to the video here. (bottom of mesh bracket) So we still would need "special" tools to remove one little cage which is annoying. Lian Li improved some things, but also made the case better and worse in my opinion with their decisions. You just can't do every config with the changes. Now I'm hesitant to buy it. I was really looking forward to this case.

@@tolli89 Yeah, I see what you mean. To be honest, I'm just gonna wait a little more until the case is actually up for sale. Keep in mind that the cases used in those reviews are not the final product. So you might see some smaller changes to the case before it's going to be released.

@@desperdoes I don't think that the cases will differ much from what they will put on the shelves soon. I am pretty certain that this is the final stage of the case. I don't expect any other changes to be honest. I mean they planned to release it last week, but had to delay again due to some shipping issues. And wouldn't the reviewers say that this is a prototype then? I don't hear any of that from all reviews I've seen. This has to be final and done. :)

Yes, I´ve watched Christopher Flannigan´s 40min build video about the O11 Air Mini and he even says at some point that the non-removable hard drive cage may not be a part of the final version because this is a pre-release sample. I can´t quite remember where to find this in the 40mins video but it was somewhere in the first 10 minutes as far as I remember. EDIT: Found it. In the 40mins Build video "Lian Li O11 Air Mini PC Build Guide - Step by Step" at 4:32. This is what I was referring to.

Yes, up to 362mm should fit according to the manual. Got a 4090 FE in mine, no problems.

Great review. I have the original white o11 mini and I honestly prefer it over this as nice as it also is. My 10850k is extremely cool in this case with my Corsair 280 AIO on the side. Little trick is I have 2 additional AIO behind the radiator for a total of 4 fans on the AIO. With those temps I don’t feel the need of the o11 air for me. Besides I feel it looks better with the front glass and it gives me a way to look at my internals since my pc is under my desk with my limited space.

I seriously don't know what they were smoking while removing that 2cm length. What a joke they remove 2 fans & add 2 fans but the fact that a 360 aio can't fit in a mid tower is just laughable.

Why can't lian li make a mini that has atx psu as well as 280 rad support on the side. What's the point cutting this one 2cm short. It is so infuriating. The offset brackets are ridiculous. Why wouldn't you support that from the beginning. Vertical gpu mount is unnecessarily wide so it sticks out too much towards the glass. Making it look ugly. Them mini cases are so close to perfection adding to my frustration. It's good to see some large wattage sfx-L psu's coming to the market in not too distant future. It would be a shame to spend money on another psu as I already own 2 really good atx ones. But I might have no other option unless lian li releases a mini evo that supports all the features

They did revise this so that it will accommodate an ATX power supply... Not sure about the other bits.

The non removable hard drive cage is a HUGE OVERSITE!!!!!, its not a deal breaker but come on guys really? its common sense to make it removable, why have a cutout at all if there is something in the way? Lian Li took two steps back with that one.

The HD cage does come out. He might have a pre-production sample. It's a neat case to build in, but I wonder if the smaller footprint is worth sacrificing 280mm (side mount) capability. If I place an AIO on the side however, it will be for a water-cooled video card, and they mostly are 240mm.

@@N64Guy It's great. Fans seem nice, but I took out the rear 120 for a 3pc set of Uni fans going side and rear. The front 140s are staying however because I cannot force myself to remove them, since they seem to be the perfect fans for that location and fan bracket which hides almost all the RGB of Lian Li's 140mm Uni fans.
