This one Spirit laid on my heart to pass on, and I feel it is as much of a call to prayer for the Lakota People as well as all Native American peoples, as it is a message of timeless wisdom for us all…
Towards the end of this short video a Lakota Elder shares a message that truly touched my heart. I found the power and wisdom in this man’s words to be so profound and yet simple, as so many truly profound things are. I hope it blesses you today and allows you the awareness that we are not alone! How similar we are, even across time…

Red Power ! LONG HAIR LONG LIFE ! Wear your hair with proud , be proud to be LAKOTA ! Teach your childrens your history. If you want to understand the present , you need to know your history. Native Americans are an example for the country and Natives people in other countries who are living the same oppression The earth is very sick and only them and white people who will decide to heal the earth could save it

As a european traveler i came 3 times to South Dakota and also visited Pine Ridge and Rosebud but never the Cheyenne River reservation. The next time i will come the Cheyenne River reservation will also be on my list. In the old days europeans came as enemies today they come as friends.

In my family, they hid the facts. My Great, Great grandmother is Lakota Souix, registered in South Dakota, Standing Rock No one has registered since. Like being Native American is something to be ashamed of. Having recently come across my family tree, I'm wondering, how can I register? My mother failed to do this. I'm not ashamed. I feel a sense of wholeness and want to make it known. I am greatly watered down as I feel, my family, tried to breed the Native, out of us. Not looking for government subsidy, looking for acknowledgement of my heritage. Can anyone help?

Awe Roxanne, I am so sorry you and your family have had to endure the cruel effects of the past. I hope someone reads your comment and is able to help you, or I suggest following the link in the description box to the original channel that posted this documentary, and perhaps try to get into contact with them or the reservation its self for help? But let me just say, as someone who lives in South Africa (another country who has seen incredible abuse to its vast cultures here), as someone with strong Native American past life heritage and therefore with an understanding that surpasses this incarnation, my heart and prayers go out to and for you. The Native American peoples were and still are a truly magnificent people and all that knowledge, power and heritage still runs in your veins and therefore is always with you, can be unlocked further, and even the things lost can be relearned and returned to all who share the blood and connection. There is a reason the Native Americans were targeted and put down, because their beautiful light and powerful ways and knowledge were a threat to the corrupt individuals who wanted to take over. You should only ever feel the greatest pride for who you are and where you come from! Your people are so exquisitely beautiful and powerful in more ways than one, and -I believe, like you, your people are on a journey back to remembering that!
