Tiokasin Ghosthorse, of the Cheyenne River Lakota indigenous people of Turtle Island (also called north America), speaks to Ashish Kothari and Shrishtee Bajpai about indigenous 'intuitive intelligence'. This, he says, is uploaded from the earth (and not as instructions received 'from above'!), and has enormous importance for resolving the multiple crises the planet faces, especially the alienation caused by 'western' worldviews. Includes a fascinating anecdote about Einstein acknowledging that indigenous Hopi kids would be the first to understand the theory of relativity, as they already lived it! Conversation at Tamera, Portugal, on the sidelines of the Defend the Sacred conference, 17th August 2019. (For other Native American voices, see interview with Pat McCabe, at • Pat McCabe, Deneh indi... ; and with Ladonna Bravebull, at • Standing Rock still st... )

I figured out how to get it back. Gotta understand that the people who the textbooks write about and give glory to did their experiments and such as a hobby. Hobbies used to be only for the wealthy and well educated, which used to be few. But we have access to informations they didn't and we don't utilize it like we should. I'm trying to turn nonfiction and textbook reading into a hobby but my old lazy self still has more influence over me

That was part of the purpose behind the education system, especially here in the states. Waldorf and Montessori are the closest you can get to an ‘accepted’ educational modality that doesn’t completely brainwash kiddos and turn them into automatons or robots of the system. It’s heartbreaking how much we have failed, and continue to fail, our children. Our planet, Mother Earth, is the final recipient of all our garbage, both physical, mental and emotional. If she is ever going to heal in any manner, we need to change our way of thinking, educating and most of all, living! Stay safe, be Well!❤️✨

I have had an affinity for Indigenous people for a long time. It all began when I was a child walking with my Mother in Scottsdale, Arizona. My Mom and I were going to look at shoes. We walked down the sidewalk when a beautiful Indigenous man walked by us. He stopped and put his hand on my head, and said, "God Bless You". I was only six and I felt a kindness that can't be put into words. I love and admire everything about Indigenous people. They are the real Americans. ❤️❤️❤️🧡🧡🧡❤️

No. Everything you hold to be true? You believe. That’s what belief is. It is not ‘blind faith’. The eliding of words and eluding of meaning here, by futzing with language, is pretty transparent. I admire this Lakota teacher. But he is wrong about Christian teaching (what he calls ‘dogma’, which is simply the Latin word for teaching as has no negative connotations….he himself is speaking dogma here) and about western concepts of ‘domination’. The teaching of Christ subverts ALL domination hierarchies. He’s speaking with an ‘us’ vs. ‘them’ dualism that is dangerous and dividing. It ultimately leads to the same place much of capitalist culture comes from. Thank you, no.

@@dorothysay8327it seems as though you're projecting your own dualistic nature on to this man all while being offended. The Lakota pray to EA, EA is Enki. Enki and Enlil go all the way back to ancient Sumer. Now if ancient Sumer were the start of civilization, then how would the indigenous to North America know and practice their teachings as the original? The 3 abrahamic religions are one and the same and that's probably what upsets you the most unknowingly. When he mentions the part about giving land back after genocide, that would be the 3 abrahamic religions at work. Conquering and dividing land. But not for the indigenous to North America.

@r.jaster But the Western view precludes other ways of thinking because it is focused on dominance, so it puts most of its energy into diminishing other points of view. Talking is over-emphasized at the expense of listening. Head, a committment to separateness, is preferred over heart that knows only connecteness to all things at all times. Physiologically, it's left-brain-dominant which is about linear logic and a kind of flat, language-based interpretation of reality. Right-brained allows more sensory input, connects using intuition, nonlinear understanding.

Human DNA is upgrading from 2 to 4 strands. I believe this will change everything and explains the mad rush to push the digital reality and the cyborg agenda. I believe we are living in the time of the 6th sun (the red sun). I think things are gonna get exponentially more interesting very soon. I believe this upgrade will relink us back up with these inner instructions; closer to the Earth; and each other; which has been so lost in so many people. I think some have had this connection all along; why these cultures were genocided. It all makes sense. There are clearly forces doing everything within their power to lead people away from these intuitive (and sane) ways of living; but I think times are changing. Gonna be interesting for sure.

Just happened upon this about 15 minutes ago. I am a Canadian senior who has never fit in because my intelligence is primarily intuitive and trust what I refer to as "higher wisdom of the universe" which speaks to me whilst listening to the earth. The wind. All the elements. Regarding most folk ...communication is tedious so I nod and leave as quickly as possible. ask the plants what they need instead making that decision for them. Animals rarely fear me. I do not try to make friends with them...I simply honour their existence and we go our own ways. I understand everything you said. It is difficult to converse these days because at 73 I have lost patience with the created false intelligence of most people. I do not put anyone beneath me...just spend more time alone .....happily. Fortunately husband respects me thank goodness. I hear the words of people and sense what they actually believe within themselves. It is difficult not to tell them their "truth" because it would not be "sociable". 😳 thank you for your words Tiokasin Ghosthorse.

@@robincrowflies😄my daughter put my image on an app that she manipulated to look " young again and tweaked" to look...the way she'd like to see me? It really pissed me off... probably cause I See how She manipulates images of her to look different than what she IS. I explained to her: I Am What I Am, I Am Old, I have made it this far and am proud to have done so. I have earned everything I am and have. And since, I have gotten her out of habit of taking selfies with that godawful Kardashian fish lips chit. She looks Fine in her Own skin but downright stupid following that train of thought. I love your words. I understand what your talking about. A Oak tree told me this was coming and to get up and get busy. It told me nothing except the truth. It directed me to the Turtle Island Indigenous. Truly the time has come to expose the Truth. We really are the Universe. This has been denied for too long already. Love Peace and Happiness!

I have had a Red Oak speak to me. It was so energizing. I knew exactly what to do. What was strange was when I said the tree had spoken to me my friend looked at me like what was I on. I told him it was not like that. That for me Nature was very much alive and full of spirit. As a young girl I was adopted into the Tuscarora tribe. Given a name & a blessing that I would need when I was older. I didn't understand the Native language but the then Chief came to me in a vision & then later after a tramatic fall which should have taken my life that particular blessing came & it was powerful. I even was speaking the language & I knew that it waz the blessing he had given me many years ago. He was right I needed that blessing. I am grateful how the old ones know these things. Such TRUE BLESSINGS & WISDOM AND PROTECTION.

People are under the impression that they are sustaining the earth, when in reality, the earth is sustaining us. There is nothing on this earth that has not been created by humans from the earth. We must love our mother Earth in order for her to care for us. She gives birth to the seeds that is watered by rain sent from our father above. It is not the creations we are to worship, it is our creator. We do not make our own heart beat. We know nothing about how life is created. This earth is a sacred ground, where only the ways of life can be found. 💋

A lovely video. Our scientists are often people disconnected from their own biology and from Mother Earth which is why I'm scared of modern technology in their hands. Our only way forward if we want to remain human is to re-connect with our Earth and with our own intuitive intelligence. Only then can technology be used to serve, not to destroy us.

I'm getting ready to live as a nomad. I've always loved nature and over the years my ethics clashing with how my society lives. I can't live this way anymore. I'm sure it will be hard to live a new type of life but it will be the way I want to live. I think it is very important for each person to question how they are living and if it is not the way they want too it is your responsibility to change. I love how native people think and want more of that.

Love this video and messages it totally resonates with me .As a child I could not be taught or learn in the Western Education System and was called a slow learner or highly sensitive and highly emotional. Tears flowed as I was beaten for not UNDERSTANDING and so broke the nuns' tempers regularly as they were so frustrated with me. Now I could learn in Nature and having the pressure and dogma of the force of the Educational System no longer present. Co operation instead of competition made far more sense to me. Even though I am Irish my soul resonates with the Sioux Indians. I have devised my own way of teaching from Higher Education to primary School education through the Right brain and heart and feminine energies and then bringing these teachings to the Left brain and Masculine thinking so there is communication between the 2 hemispheres , this dissolves the build of separation and returns to oneness. This are the teachings and healings from Mother Earth and the most important aspect is that we all need a beliefs but by changing or altering our beliefs we can change our DNA and conscious awareness,💛💚💙💜,

The wisdom shared in this video has been the realization and way of life for most ancient Eastern cultures (perhaps others that predate Christianity). Intuitive intelligence, which is the ability to understand things without conscious reasoning/thinking, is what many Eastern Masters such as Osho, Jiddu Krishnamurti, Gautam Buddha, Lao Tzu, and many more have taught for eons. It is not surprising that cultures that recognized themselves as nature and not the owners of this Earth have a deep compassion and humility as their foundation stone. The relationship to self and this existence is reflected in the peace on his face.
