Always super proud of you and your authentic pursuit of your goals. Congrats on "life" to be honest (marriage, firewall job you've wanted for so long, taking the well-deserved break, and everything). Palo Alto firewalls are super dope, and it's cool that they can honestly be used to route traffic inbound, outbound, and east/west so I know you'll enjoy it. Not gone lie, if you guys use Panorama to centrally manage the devices, there will be a slight learning curve, but nothing that you won't quickly overcome. Glad you took a well deserved break though, just took one myself after studying for my CCIE for so long. I think just continuing to post about your thoughts, pursuit of goals, how the new job is going (I know that will take time to absorb and get your real feelings about it), and maybe if there's any certs you're pursuing (and even if not, thoughts on some), experience with cloud environments, tough things in security/firewalls that you will pursue (e.g., cryptography, certificates, site to site tunnels, decryption/inspection zones, etc), security tools that may be cool to learn (e.g., Gigamon, Splunk, Imperva, FireEye, etc). But you've got a great range of content I've seen since joining last year (first few videos at the table with your husband kind of just chatting about IT, thought that was dope), you have taken us on the job, side of the road in Dallas, getting ready for work, receiving/shipping off equipment, struggle days at work and how you got through it, interviews (many different videos you made on those), and just a lot of dope content that is true "evergreen" content and won't get old. You definitely have a natural way of making whatever the topic is appear natural and dope, and I know being a content creator can reach different points of thoughts/emotions for a creator, but you've got hundreds of us that will support whatever direction you go. But for now, I honestly wouldn't sweat it and just enjoy that new good life at home with the husband and the new job, and we'll be here for whatever direction you decide to go... just always gotta make sure it sits right with you and I know you will. Keep crushing it and wishing you continued success, happiness, and challenges as you navigate this thing called life! Much love and respect.

Hey! I love your videos. With cyber security and cloud being trendy nowadays there’s so little content about network engineering in 2023. Potentially you can make videos on how to go from help desk to network engineer? NOC to network engineer? (Im in a noc role currently), pros and cons of network engineering?, how much entry, mid level, senior network engineers make?. You may have covered these already but just ideas off the top of my head. Also congratulations!! You’ve had hella accomplishments, my goodness! LOL 🙏🏾

Thanks for making this video. It's really valuable to hear about how you transitioned from networking to network security, especially since you were able to acquire a position. Personally, I'd be interested in hearing more about your journey as you continue down the path of network security (not putting yourself or your company at risk of course). That said, I'm fairly new to the channel and not sure if others think the same way. I'm an introvert by nature as well, so I can only imagine the amount of energy it takes to make these videos. Thanks for taking the time to share you experiences.

I feel the IT is very saturated as I've yet to find a job. I'm focusing on cybersecurity and networking now. I'm currently enrolled in a self-paced course to obtain the PCCET: Palo Alto Networks Certified Cybersecurity Entry-Level Technician Thanks in advance, you are an inspiration.

Congratulations! I’d love to see you interview others in the networking space, similar to techtual chatter does with cyber security. It can even be just casual convo. Also you could talk about managing money once u get the big salary, time management as a wife and mother while continuously learning, Negotiating salary, your career goals/ retirement strategy, investing, what skills you think will be in demand in the near future. You could transition to more of a lifestyle channel being that tech is part of your everyday life. Just a few ideas, but overall i hope you keep making content.

Content Idea: You mentioned you have a new job as a firewall engineer, and that there were a lot of questions you got during the interview process that you did not know anything about. With this new job, I am sure there will be a lot of new things for you to learn. You can make videos documenting your learning process. That way you will be killing 2 birds with one stone. You will be learning what you need to learn to continue to grow in your field while also creating content for your viewers to learn along with you. The process of teaching others has been scientifically proven to increase the teacher's own knowledge and understanding of the subject. See on, do one, teach one methodology: You can develop a portfolio of projects demonstrating your process of learning. That way, if there is another role you are interested in pursuing in the future, while you may not have on the job experience, you can show that you have tried to gain experience through your projects. In creating your projects, you can create detailed steps for your viewers to follow. That way they can also replicate the projects. Based on the number of views your project and teaching videos get, you can used that as a quantitative bullet point for your resume. For example, you create a video on building out a network troubleshooting simulation project using Cisco Packet Tracer that got 250 views. Your bullet can be: Training 250 individuals on the process of building out a network troubleshooting simulation using Cisco Packet Tracer which help to enhance and showcase their hands-on skills and ability to troubleshoot network issues effectively. Do not over think the content creation process. Just basically take the camera out. You were going to learn that new skill anyway. So, why not take the camera out and record yourself while doing so. Do not reinvent the wheel. Just record yourself doing what you were already going to do anyway. Good luck! P.S. the weight loss is definitely noticeable. That was the first thing I noticed when I saw your thumbnail. Congrats and persist on your health journey, and with all the positive new changes in your life.

I would for sure have to figure out an easy way to do this. most likely got to spin up a VM to actively get in a lab with a palo. I have to look at options for that.
