Kashmir is almost stable now. Terrorism has been very low since past 3-4 years. Terrorism prospered because the state had a special status given by the Constitution of the country and the Central(Federal) Govt had limited powers to intervene. The state was ruled by terror-separatist sympathetic parties. But in 2019 the special status was revoked and the Central Govt took direct charge. Since then the terror attacks have reduced big time. And to understand the problems in Kashmir you'll have to know the history. Insight into India-Pakistan issue or rather known as Jammu & Kashmir issue : When India was given independence it was decided that there would a new country created called Pakistan on the basis of religion. More than 560+ Princely States were given choice to merge in India or join Pakistan or remain Independent. Most joined India and some Pakistan. Jammu & Kashmir wanted to be an independent Princely State and to become so signed a standstill agreement with both India & Pakistan. J & K King was a Hindu but had a majority of Muslim Population. So, Pakistan felt they have the right on a Muslim majority region. But due to Standstill Agreement, they cannot go to war overtly. So, they brought in Tribals from Afghanistan and dressed up some of their armymen as tribals, and started a siege on J & K. The tribals massacred, looted and raped all along their way to Srinagar, capital of the Princely State. At first, the King thought his Army could crush the enemy but some of the Muslims in his army joined the enemy. Now, his only option was to take help from India. He reached New Delhi for help. India refused to help as J&K was an independent State and India didn't want to get into an International issue soon after Independence and asked him to acceed to India if he wanted India to intervene. He was reluctant but soon got the message that the enemy had reached the outskirts of Srinagar and his Capital will fall in a day's time. He finally signed the Accession Declaration and J&K officially became part of India. The King went back and it is said that he gave his gun to his attendant and said that if the News of Indian Army reaching Srinagar is not heard next morning, he shoot the King in his sleep. But Indian Army reached Srinagar Airport next morning and started to push back the enemy. The war went on for few months till there was a UN intevention. The point till Indian Army pushed back the enemy became the Ceasefire Line and later the Line of Control. UN resolution on the matter : 1. Pakistan unconditionally withdraw their troops from the occupied region of Kashmir. 2. India keep small amount troops to maintain law & order and withdraw rest of the troops. 3. A plabiscite will be held under UN supervision. But Pakistan did not pull back its troops and Plabiscite never happened.

i told u that in 1947 pakistanis attacked kashmir and king of kashmir hari singh gave kashmir to india to save it and indian army defended it so india has 2/3rd of kashmir and pakistan have 1/3rd of kashmir in india we call that part which pakistan has occupied as pok(pakistan occupied kashmir) and in pakistan they call it azad kashmir(free kashmir) ..actually pakistanis think that since india is a hindu majority country the muslims are under oppression so they have to help the muslims to be free which is not the case actually in india muslims are in much better shape than pakistan .. cant do much about this

So the real news events that pop up through the season are as follows. Terrorists using fishing boats to infilterate india. People from India joining isis The ISI (pakistan intelligence) waging proxy war on india People getting killed on the suspicion of possesion or consumption of beef (still happening today) Muslim Political activiats being wrongly labelled as terrorists (not killed literally but having their lives destroyed otherwise) Kashmir youth being used by ISI to wage war against India, because of the higy polarized political and social environment they live in, life in Kashmir is not normal, heavy surveillance, few freedoms, people dont like the govt at all. The scooter bomb was a callback to the riots of 1993 mumbai where many vehicles with timed explosives were left on different parts of the city, one scooter didnt explode and led the cops to clues that helped them get to the perpetrator. The hosptal.shoot out is fictional. However the attacks on mumbai on 26 nov 2008 saw similar scenes play out in two hotels and railway stations. Everythinh else we see is pure fiction

Kashmir is a beautiful state of India and at the time of partition between India and Pakistan, it was asked to Kashmir either go with India or Pakistan but Kashmir want to be a free state. After that Pakistani Rebels and soldiers attacked on Kashmir and then Kashmir's king at that time signed a pact that Kashmir going to be a part of India because Pakistan is attacking them. We indians have the documents available as Kashmir an integral part of India.
