We explore how static electricity can be stored using a Leyden jar and what happens when we discharge a large stored voltage. The equipment we make in this video will be used for a number of experiments to study static electricity.
The experiment explored in this video has high voltages involved and can give you a nasty shock so be careful if repeating and don't touch the nail at the top of the bottle until you have completely discharged the bottle.
If you would like to follow along with the experiment and build a Leyden jar you will need:
a pvc pipe/tube,
a cloth,
a bottle,
some kitchen foil,
some insulating or masking tape,
two metal nails,
a paperclip,
two wires with crocodile clips on either end,
some salt and some water.
Thank you so much for watching.

@@qlab349 ⚠️ God has said in the Quran: 🔵 { O mankind, worship your Lord, who created you and those before you, that you may become righteous - ( 2:21 ) 🔴 [He] who made for you the earth a bed [spread out] and the sky a ceiling and sent down from the sky, rain and brought forth thereby fruits as provision for you. So do not attribute to Allah equals while you know [that there is nothing similar to Him]. ( 2:22 ) 🔵 And if you are in doubt about what We have sent down upon Our Servant [Muhammad], then produce a surah the like thereof and call upon your witnesses other than Allah, if you should be truthful. ( 2:23 ) 🔴 But if you do not - and you will never be able to - then fear the Fire, whose fuel is men and stones, prepared for the disbelievers.( 2:24 ) 🔵 And give good tidings to those who believe and do righteous deeds that they will have gardens [in Paradise] beneath which rivers flow. Whenever they are provided with a provision of fruit therefrom, they will say, "This is what we were provided with before." And it is given to them in likeness. And they will have therein purified spouses, and they will abide therein eternally. ( 2:25 ) ⚠️ Quran

Will adding a resistor restrict the current flow for longer duration of use... Because I'm not fully versed with electronics, but from my understanding restricting the voltage will increase the Amps(current), meaning we would have a usable battery that can be charged from atmospheric energy... That's pretty incredible because as another comment said... This is proof we have all the free energy we need

It definitely works, however I’m wondering if a bottle can be either negatively or positively charged depending how you charge it or what you use. Just wondering because I’m finding such differing science on this

You say store the power? Then this means we can do this in a large scale and it means electricity is free?

It’s the basic principle of a capacitor, and the energy is not quite free - your rubbing work is its cost. And it stores for very little time even in massive capacitors.

I'm sorry that you couldn't get it to work. Perhaps it is too humid as that leads to rapid discharge or maybe you didn't connect things up correctly. However, I can assure you the physics is sound.
