blind people can still see light. it’s just their corneas don’t function properly and they can’t process the light coming in. so all they see is bright white or dark black.

Im pretty sure Omi has cataract, from the look of his eyes. He surely has some light perception. Severe cataract makes the vision makes the vision as though looking through a glass of milk. Not pitch black.
