I used to think I wanted a car with all the screens and tech. Then I got one and disliked it. Yeah, it had a ton of options. But it also had these screens shooting their images at me constantly. But what I found in driving day-to-day was that I never used any of it. The one thing I find relaxing about my Panther platform car is how simple it is. I find I just need to turn a key, put it in gear, adjust the radio and adjust the climate controls and that's it. No screen shining back at me when my eyes are tired at looking at screens all day at work. What I found was that the radio and climate were the only things I used on a regular basis whenever I drove a car. The Panthers are so simple, it's less stress in my life.

If ya gotta upgrade, the Fusion is actually a solid car, much better than getting a GM garbage box (Equinox, etc.).

My mom has 2017 Fusion. So I have compared them to my Crown Victoria. The fusion definitely is quicker and the brakes are very responsive. The seats feel like they hug you compared to the Panther. I don't like the electronic keypad on the door. It's hard to use when it's raining. The blue on the instrument is nice. Oh a cool safety feature is if you open your driver door while in gear it will put it in park.

It’s the Mondeo called Fusion in the US. Not a bad car but in my opinion not exciting. I know I wanted to rent one years ago but the hybrid had a smaller trunk so we did not fit out luggage in and they gave us a Charger.

I’m glad it doesn’t have the touch sensitive panel-that’s one of the things we didn’t like about the fusion hybrid we test drove years ago

Ford called it a Fusion because they fused together a soup can and a sardine tin.

Still have my Signature L. Drove an exact replica of that Fusion and I was highly impressed. Especially the MPG. The detractor was the utilitarian ride and the firm uncomfortable seats. Hope this one work's out well for you. I consider this car a viable option.

May be a smaller trunk but the seats fold down so you can get something long in there.

My 2004 town cars sensors stick out. By 2006 they hid them because of complaints.

They stopped producing the Fusions because Ford wanted to concentrate on their Trucks and Suv, the only cars they still produce here in the US is the Ford Mustang.The sales never declined for the for the Ford Fusion.

My Lincoln is gone too …4 runner is cool but Lincoln was cheap to own for sure insurance and of course no car payments just a relationship with my mechanic I wish to end😂

Would you share with us please how much you paid for both cars? When you got that lincoln how much was it? I think you made a very good decision. Enjoy your Kool new car.

Lincoln was $7500 out the door but I had a $6000 Hyundai Elantra to trade so $1500 out of pocket. Fusion was $16300 after taxes/title/plates/etc.

@VitaliyKofman what would you say to someone considering purchasing a town car and putting custom android auto front screen and backup camera? Does the interior still feel old and less desirable compared to the fusion then? This is something I never understood why people don't do

@@agame-jv6zv I would say - don't do it because you are missing the point of the Town Car if you want the latest and greatest tech :)
