People keep promising me that my skin will get drier as I get older... 38 and still oily as hell 😭When does the magical adult dryness arrive goddamnit
@DoctorAnne

For me it happened around 40, but it depends on different factors: sex, hormones, maybe medication, climate you live in...

@@DoctorAnne Interesting! I'm on the Nuvaring, live in Hungary and barely go outside so... who knows! I'm kind of looking forward to being able to tolerate moisturiser, hahah. People always seem to enjoy applying it but even the lightest of gel moisturisers break me out so I just stopped bothering with it. Thanks for your reply!

@@aquana I was the same for a long time, and in summer sometimes still don't bother - never in the mornings, but if it is very hot and balmy, in the evenings as well.

You look gorgeous for your age!! 😍😍😍 I just turned 30 and I have been trying to use retinol since I was 26-27 with the least concentraction and I think my skin just can’t bear it. I get the worst breakouts and my skin gets super super dry. What do you recommend in this situation?

I prefer to say I look gorgeous without the "for your age" part, but thank you. Have you tried different brands or formulas? And have you incorporated the tips I give in this video? kzfaq.info/get/bejne/qNF7n9VmtdrGaJc.html

@@DoctorAnne oh you look gorgeous anyway!! I just wanted to state you seem like a woman who did a alot of care for her health and her beauty 😍 yes I have actually, but could not bear it. I have a dry sensitive skin btw. My last try was eucerin night cream (pro retinol) its the best until now but it still irritates my skin.

@DoctorAnne, i just discovered your channel and I absolutely love it! Such an informative video! My skin perfectly matches your examples. I could only nod to all potential skin concerns you have mentioned 😂❤ What kind of skincare would you recommend to someone with sensitive, rosacea & hyperpigmentation prone skin? Anti aging benefit is of course a big plus, but i feel like i am struggling to get the basics covered. Vitamin C causes my skin to react, niancinamide is not enough to help with the hyperpigmentation. Got a hydroquinone from my dermatologist, but it is causing my skin to feel even more dry 🫨 Struggles are real! 😂

I have a few videos on rosacea and a playlist on hyperpigmentation that might help as well as a video on the top 10 ingredients coming later this week. Are you using Azelaic Acid?

@@DoctorAnne yes, I am, but it is drying out my skin pretty badly, so struggling to find supportive products for these types of treatments 🫠
@DoctorAnne
@DoctorAnne 11 ай бұрын
@@nezahvale9390 I can imagine. to be honest, I would focus on a rich moisturizer and a gentle cleanser until your skin is feeling better before incorporating any other actives. Niacinamide will help with that, but should be in many of your products already (and don't get the one with Zinc, that is drying as well)

@@nezahvale9390 That depends on your budget and what is easily available. I personally am a fan of the Geek and Gorgeous ones (Hydration Station: go.shopmy.us/p-2134488 and Happier Barrier: go.shopmy.us/p-2134487 Links are affiliate), but you have to order them.

First off Love the Swiss cross shirt your absolutly adorable ♡♡ 🇨🇭 😍💕🤟 and your video is so Amazing as usual and very informative too I think gental cleansing goes a long way I still find my skin to be oily even though I'm as old as dirt ..so I guess I'm just stuck with oily skin.. funny thing is when I use Aloe Vera gel my skin loves it and it seem to balance out for weeks but if I miss using the Aloe just once my skin gets weird , sensitive and oily and patchy dry in some areas anyways I don't break out much but I do get rashes and started getting sebaceous hyperplasia here and there and there a nightmare when I need to shave so lately I just quit shaving all together so now I'm a hippie caveman 🤣 🧔 but no matter I'm still cute as fk hahaaa unless my stupid mirror 🪞is lying to me 😮🤣😂❤🥰🤪🥳🎶✌️

Many people with XY chromosomes stay oily far longer, it is a side effect of the androgens.
