Great video, the best summary I've seen. I've fished all over the world and will be taking the kids for shore fishing this week. We're going to target ling but will be happy to get what we can. We're also going to try our hand at crab snaring. Can't believe it took me this long to get out west, but spending most of my life on east coast keeps you there. Now we live in Utah and I'm hoping California is our new saltwater go to. We try and stop by your shop on the way to pick up a few things.

If you have a jig with an assist hook does that count as your two allowable hooks? Can you have a weighted octopus with two hooks at the bottom with an additional dropper loop above with another hook?

Do you recommend J hooks or Circle hooks?
