ok I love her but whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat is happening? 😳 just putting this out there..sometimes LESS is more..if I were her I'd throw a fit for having so much distraction during MY mad scene. these directors..they really give me "death of opera"..and yet she is like opera re-born..what a conundrum..

Precisely, it makes her job so much more difficult! I can't respect a director who obviously has no idea about the craft of singing. This aria is difficult enough without having to perform acrobatics while singing it! And deep symbolism is pointless if the audience can't figure out the meaning behind the symbols. Of course, the performers always say they love the creativity of the production, but I do wonder...

Incredible singing. Horrible staging. All that absurdity going on around her. Sets, costumes, terrible. What twisted thoughts were going through the stage directors and designers minds.
