For everyone worried, they’ve done numerous tests and there’s zero asbestos. However they did find high concentration of evaporated tears as well as all the hopes and dreams of the cadets who fell off the shelf.

Class of ‘81 here. Thanks for the memories. That’s one thing that’s hard to explain to people who haven’t done it. The key thIng to add is that there’s a time limit and eventually graduation depends on success. The course looks like a fun challenge without knowing that four years of work comes down to 3 minutes and 45 seconds of agony. It adds a mental stress for days before the test which is only relieved by making it up on the shelf on the first attempt.

One time I pulled a joke on my roommate by typing up an official-looking distro note (in my day they were printed on line-printers and we had terminals in each barracks that you could use in local mode) telling him that DPT had chosen him to be in a pilot program where he'd have to run the O-Course every day for a month. Btw I’m a freshman in high school and both my parents serve in the Army, so it has been a lifelong dream of mine to join too, but to join USMA would be spectacular. I am a girl and am working to become more fit, and my only problem is that I take medication for my OCD and I am rid of OCD for now, however, I’m not sure if I would be able to attend West Point because of this, and if I get off it there is a chance of my OCD returning, if you have any advice it would be much appreciated. Thank you.

What’s old is the IOC used to be 18.0 (back when tenths were counted and 3.0 was max). Thus, you could be D or tangent in PE and the IOC could save you. Never really recovered from getting pneumonia over plebe Christmas and was not doing well in gymnastics or swimming. Practiced for and aced the IOC; boned 16 tenths and home free. This after they reinstated the dive-and-roll which had for a while been dropped after a cadet broke his neck and was paralyzed.

Sure! Impress your AIs. Recommendations from my senior AI went a long way, as he was field force rep for West Point. Of course, grades are super important, SAT being highest priority other than GPA. Get involved with some form of volunteer work that'll look good on your resume (service learning in JROTC can help with that.) For the love of God, get in shape. I learned that lesson the hard way, since I looked relatively fit, but was not. In your interview with your congressmen/their committee, keep a military demeanor (I wore my JROTC uniform).

I did some research and founded that the diet is super heavy to compensate for the intense training, but it does not really get into like what your choices are and stuff like that. 2. I hear a ton about beast barracks and I am a tad confused as to what you're actually doing. I was wondering, what is beast barracks really? Thanks for your time Justin, and if you do a reply, thanks a bunch for that too!

1. People eat whatever generally. The messhall serves pretty much everything and you can also order food from outside post. To put it in perspective for breakfast I had eight frozen waffles and a red bull. 2. It's basic training essentially so everything that happens in basic training for the army happens here.

Why do you guys still wear the IPFU after the wear out date? Do you not get uniform allowances?
@Justin_Taylor
@Justin_Taylor 6 жыл бұрын
There was a weird rule with the senior class because we were the last to be issued the old stuff. So it was phased out but we had to still wear it for certain events.
