Maybe he was pointing his phone at the women at a sideways angle when telling her to get off the phone, and since the phone is a dark color and it’s nighttime, it’d be easy to mistake it for a small handgun, especially if it was pointed sideways. It’s unlikely that the man is actually a danger to anyone, but as for the women, if she was texting in driving I would say that she’s a danger to someone. Texting while driving is the number one cause of fatal automobile accidents in the U.S. Not to mention that the male in this incident is an Uber Driver, a great percentage of Uber Drivers carry a weapon for purposes of defending themselves against unruly passengers, so it’s not at all suspicious for him to be carrying a gun, because perhaps someone could look at that fact and think that he’s of the type to brandish that weapon in an act of road rage, but given his status of employment, I don’t believe that’s the case.

Someone called the police complaining of a road rage indecent and a gun being pointed at them.... the cops show up and confirm the road rage story (by his own admission) and then find a gun in his center-console (just like she described). That's plenty of evidence for an arrest. If you were the cop, what differently would you have done? Yes, maybe she was lying (they have courts for that) ... but all the evidence thus far suggest she is telling the truth.

@@okstate999 Perhaps you are correct that they will lose in court... but that depends on a lot of factors (what attorney is hired, the judge, his criminal record, etc). However, as I said, there was plenty of evidence for an arrest (admission of road rage and eye-witness testimony of a gun - which had corroborating evidence i.e. they found a gun in his car). That's enough. The more detailed analysis is saved for courts.

He had a firearm so he goes to jail. Simple.

you don't need proof for putting someone into jail, you need probable cause...

I was accused of road rage and the dumbass said I had a gun, I told the cops to search my car....no gun obviously, I was let go because they knew the other guy was a liar.

Jose Garcia you can’t charge anyone with texting while driving unless you see her do it. The gun one is different tho because he had a gun. Might of flashed it or might not have. The golden rule when you have a gun is not to put yourself into stupid situations, he did it to his self there.

Ezekiel Joaquine FOR REAL, I saw a video where a guy was getting arresting for a DUI when the arresting cops find out that the drunk is a cop themselves, so they TURN OFF THEIR MICS ON THEIR BODY CAMS and ask the drunk for someone to come pick him up so he wouldn’t get charged with a DUI. TF??????

Retail Block supporting the police does not make you above the law. Listen not all police are bad, but the system it self is bad and has some serious major flaws, and this is why people don’t like the police, I know a lot of you guys don’t want to accept it but now that it’s happened to one of your own maybe you should consider that we have some major problems with how we implement law enforcement and criminal justice. On a legal level everything the cop did here was correct under our current criminal justice system. That doesn’t mean the guy will necessarily be found guilty in court, remember that is where the final say comes, and they’ll pull out all the details in an investigation and cross examine their stories.
