Doug Bania, an expert hired by Johnny Depp's legal team in his defamation trial against his ex-wife Amber Heard, pushed back against Heard's attorney as he questioned him during cross-examination. Bania disagreed with the attorneys assessment of his analysis on statements from Depp's attorney Adam Waldman and believes his testimony about the data is accurate.

Yeah, they’re trying to get him to answer questions that he doesn’t have a solid basis for to pick apart his credibility. But this dude is clearly a very competent analyst who understands the parameters of his study very well, despite Turds lawyers attempt to get him to speak in things outside of the bounds of his study.

This witness was very prepared. He still answered "thats correct" even when the answer was not favourable for Johnny's side instead of trying to come up with cool comebacks and long answers like some witnesses.

The lawyer has no idea what he’s even doing? It almost seems like he becomes agitated when he doesn’t get an answer he likes either which comes across very unprofessional. Like he became more aggressive towards the witness when he continues saying “I don’t know”, but the lawyer is attempting to get him to address matters beyond the witnesses scope of practice. It’s almost as if they are hoping one of Johnnys professional experts will speak outside the area of expertise and look like jackasses like Ambers experts did yesterday lmao!

I think (my opinion) he might have been comparing actors that had similar pay to the pay she is asking for due to defamation. Mamoa is an obvious one since she was compared to him earlier in the trial and was the other lead in the biggest film she was in during that time. To be fair, media and the Me too movement had more people believing in Amber's version of events than not. You have to give the benefit of the doubt that these lawyers believed her. Now they know that Amber lied to them and they are stuck defending the indefensible. It's pretty easy to see that 98% of people are on Johnny's side now, but it wasn't the case a few years ago. Now her lawyers are going down with the ship.

my headcannon is that the lawyers know this was unwinnable when they listened to the entire clip of the audio, and knew that the opposing team would use the other snippets of the same audio clips. So they had a plan of outing all of the dregs of society while using AH's money. A strong example is Dr. Spiegel, who was more than willing to lie on the stand, and every "friend" of AHs.

I have been thinking along the same lines. I have believed I am emotional, not as strong as needed or likewise that I couldn’t even get to being in court over something like this. She has gone back to JD so many times claiming her true love for him (loves him so much that she could rip him per her love notes, eww) and the recorded conversations show she ended up abusing him even more. Mental/verbal abuse is still abuse, duh! Either she expected some kind of la la land from JD and saw reality everytime she had a regular conversation . OR she is pure insane without acting like a mad person all the time (psychotic?)

AH is a talentless actor. Prior to the accusations she hurled at JD, the majority of fans of Aquaman and other movies she was in, were actually for the other actors in those films, very few were viewing for her as well or specifically for her. She was in danger of being replaced due to her on site behavior and inability to perform certain skills of her trade. That’s right, Andy. What’s inside a person is eventually revealed. Beauty is only skin deep. Amber has lost whatever beauty she had. I see a very unattractive, ugly woman when I look at Amber. She looks constipated.

What I find interesting is all the Waldman statements are reactionary to Amber Heard going on the offensive and labeling Johnny Depp an abuser. Defending yourself should never be liable.

This is a truthful witness imo and he is not letting the lawyer put a thing over on him! He is very succinct and straight forward when answering.

I have never heard of the waltmen statements and I whole heartedly think miss heard is lying and actively to this day is trying to defame Johnny. Also I don't think all of her lawyers suck I just think they are defending a lier and have nothing to back up her claims. It's got to be hard.

The Waldman statements. Adam Walman, Johnny's divorce attorney. He released statements saying he believed Amber and friends staged the scene when the police where called and they said she had no injuries and no property damage. She basically said the police were liars because she had pictures of broken wine bottles. He released several statements about her. She is counter suing Johnny for defaced based on statements Waldman made. Her lawyers are saying she lost popularity, social media followers and lost money due to those statements. This witness is saying she was already unpopular and the Waldman statements didn't have any effect.

He basically just said that everything Amber said in regards to her being abused by Johnny was a hoax in 3 different ways and that's what they're harping on about.
