Elk Grove is way too crowded now and it’s getting worse. No matter what time or day it is you hit heavy traffic.

The city is planning more urban dense zones, especially on the west side. These areas seem to be more pedestrian friendly and offer denser housing and more amenities, so it’s a nice balance to the rest of the city.

Con.....2 1/2 months of very hot temps. Although EG does get the delta breeze.

Sometimes I feel like it’s more like 6 months of hot temps :( Though the Delta Breeze does help, and it really is July and August that’s the worse. At least it’s not humid.

I moved from the Bay Area (Hayward) to Florin (just north of Elk Grove), and I absolutely love it. The heat is a dry heat, and the summer nights are to die for; Especially coming from the Bay Area where even when its warm in the Summer, you have to bundle up after sunset.

We where exposed to get a mall, than an outlet. Now nothing. We need a mall for shopping then we will be good

Elk Grove has always had good schools because of the history and legacy of the original values of their school system and the school board. Not because of the buildings. Their original school house is at Elk Grove Park.
