This is the lastest in short series of videos I have been calling my 'mini series', where I chat to friends and acquaintances about their experiences of living in France. 😊😇🥳👀🤯
This is part two of my chat with Jacqui, if you haven't seen part one don't forget to watch that too as well as all my other videos of course 😉😉
I think you will gain so much information about living in France from watching this 'mini series'.
if you enjoy it please give me a like and please do share with anyone you know may benefit from these.
We chatted for hours but I have cut the video down keeping in the bits I think you will be most interested in. You have the option of course to FF if you want to search for particular subjects. Also if you have difficulty hearing any parts please remember you can click on the CC button and have subtitles to help you know what is being said. If you don't know where it is, it is in the same place as the thumbs up button which you need to remember too 😉😘
Enjoy this one while I get on and edit the next one for you. 😊👀📽

Thanks, Jacqui & Jan! Another fascinating and informative interview/conversation! This is such a great format. I learned a ton of new stuff and my questions were answered before I even had the chance to ask. note: Jan, make homemade clotted cream. It is so simple, it practically makes itself and it tastes better than Devon or store-bought brands.

It would be nice if after the interview, there was a house tour included to see what type of house they decided on and how it was decorated. I would also enjoy it if you went back in time and did like a pop in to visit people who were interviewed in the past and see what they've been up to since the last time.

I did consider doing that but decided it would make the videos too long. Also, I am already intruding on these lovely people's lives, I would be pushing my luck. Regarding going back in time, these were carried out only a few months ago, I suspect very little has changed.

Hello, french here who married a British 40 years ago. In the beginning of our relationship we were thinking of settling in the UK, we were student in France at that time. He was shocked on the attitude english border police had towards me, didn't have the same from the french one, same with a lot of british people thinking I didn't understand english, my comprehension was far better than my speaking. I didn't care but he was ! He found it was easier for him in France in northeast France.

Hi Brigitte, I think it can be a great oversight that people from any country can assume that visitors to their country, and vice versa, won't understand what they are saying. In the world we live in now with people travelling all the time, everyone should be respectful of each other. I have been in situations where I have heard Brits complaining about French people and vice versa and it can be so uncomfortable and just downright rude! I don't know why Americans and Brits, usually of a certain age, can often be heard to say, if it weren't for us blah blah blah. We are so far down the line now that new generations are trying to get along, trying to integrate and be excepting of other nationalities and learn from mistakes made in the past. There will always be the exceptions such as racist individuals, people that are stuck in the past, people that don't like change etc; It just infuriates me when people move to another country and then try to change where they live to be just like the country they left!!! AND expect people to behave in their same way instead of respecting that countries ways. Sorry, I am getting off my soap box now. 😘🥰
