Are you guys having a nice June so far? I can't believe it's almost July now....I really don't want summer to come 😭
I had a great time hanging out with my friend and eating chocolate and then going anime otaku shopping by myself another day ✨ If you don't do anything because you don't want to be seen alone then you'll never do anything you want!! Especially in Tokyo!!!!! I love shopping alone tbh, I can take my time and go to the stores I want to without worrying about bothering someone else 🤗

when i came on holiday to japan before and went in donki i was like "woah this shop is so fun i love it why do we not have it at home!!!" and now i live here donki is a full on hellscape that i avoid at all costs unless absolutely necessary

That sweater you wore on the first day is super cute!! Personally, the "to desk or not to desk" is a question that has plagued me as well since I don't even have a desk despite being a student lol. I still have about 2 more years living where I am before joining the JET Program and I decided not to get a desk because it would be significant investment to get a decent one and a chair with good support but I'd have to sell it or donate it in a relatively short amount of time so I decided that it wasn't worth it when my current setup works well enough. So if I were in your position of knowing that I want to move in a year or less and I have a functional desk that may not be ideal but works, I'd wait until I move so I can get rid of the current desk as part of the moving process since I'm sure it won't be the only thing you get rid of and then not have to worry about moving a desk with the rest of my stuff. But that's me! Shibuya always looks so chaotic and overwhelming, but at the same time super pretty and fun. Always love seeing Nintendo and Pokemon stores! Thanks for another lovely video!

Not just having a treat in an anime cafe, but you can get to go to Shibuya twice continuously, which is amazing that you can’t miss anything on Spy Family, Miss Allison. Also, I also think June is one of the boring months, that it feels like we didn’t do anything.

Fun watch today... Love the cats in shark costumes... The one gacha machine I would spend the most on would have been the one that had the traditional furniture in it... Would totally have gotten many many of them to make up a little tatami room diorama for my livingroom...

Allison, I FEEL YOU. Humidity is freaking GROSS. I was just at the Grand Canyon and Vegas where it was 108 F but a total dry heat and I swear it’s worse at home because Ohio has nasty humidity in the summer. 😂

I love that AirPod case although I’m not a Pokémon fan myself but it’s so so cute 🤩 And gosh moving is so expensive in Japan. I totally get why you’ve decided not to move this year when just renewing your contract is that expensive. Is it normal to just have a time limited contract for your apartment or is this because you’re a foreigner and they expect you to stay just a specific period of time? Because a time limited contract where you have to pay a fee every time you want to expand your stay doesn’t seem very convenient when you’re not planning to move in advance. And can the landlord even decline your renewal? I guess he can in which case you’d be without an apartment in no time. That’s scary. Btw I love Spy x family too. It’s a great show 😊

all standard leases in japan are two years! but they usually let you renew unless they’re renovating or you were an awful tenant 😂

omg was the ice cream good? i haven't tried many of those types of ice cream, i live in hokkaido so i always end up getting locally made soft cream from the konbini because its soooo good

Not to be a jerk face, but I wish more Tokyo KZfaqrs would title their vids “life in Tokyo,” bc “life in Japan” is so diverse and multifaceted outside Tokyo. What expats experience or what foreigners can expect in Japan Japan is not necessarily represented by Tokyo life.
