Thank you for showing such tasty meals. I think anyone having to manage on a tiny budget should try and find enough spare € for cheap multi-vitamin tablets. One tablet every second day would help them keep their health.

I want to say breakfast here in the USA during the workweek breakfast is not large. Everyday I eat a bagel and small coffee for breakfast, my Husband has a banana. When our kids are at home and we are all together breakfast can be larger. Sometimes I make the kids french toast (or pancakes) with eggs, & sometimes bacon or fried ham or sausage. Usually we will add a piece of fruit like bananas or cut apples strawberries

This is such a great haul! I don"t think I could do this in New York, USA. 10 Euros equals $10.79 in the US and i can't figure a list under $25.00/week and even that is very difficult.

Thank you, Christine! And sorry to hear groceries are more expensive where you live, inflation has really taken a toll on our lifes. :/

My husband just returned from the grocery store and bought strawberries...3 containers/$10. His fruit and cereal shop was about $40. Pretty typical in Florida.

Strawberries would also be not cheap here, 3 to 4 € when they are in season, more when they are not. But apples are indead always pretty cheap here.

Absolutely love your channel! In NZ we have VERY limited supermarket chains...there are really only a couple which is a shame as they have monopoly and really dont need to compete for customers. I really miss Netto and Aldi from when when I lived in Denmark. Thanks so much for the frugal cooking ideas😊

Also …. Fast unmöglich mit 10€ die ganze Woche. Unglaublich was alles kostet.

I follow someone in Australia who uses their Thermomix every video. It's amazing what that can do. I dont understand why it isn't being sold here in the USA. She had a KitchenAid also, so I know it's not because we have KitchenAid. You mentioned Vitamix, but Vitamix is just a fancy blender. That has a scale, it cooks, it is a good processor, it has recipes installed in it which it automatically creates for you, it has a built-in scale, it can mix dough. So much more than Vitamix which is awful in comparison. I wish we had these in the USA ,😕
@CocosUniverse

Hey Amy! :) The Thermomix is not sold in stores, I think you always have to order it online, be it in Germany or the US. Here is a link with more information for the US market: www.thermomix.com/products/thermomix-tm6 I can honestly say I love that thing, although it is quite expensive...

Hello from Canada 🇨🇦🍁 So creative and amazing you did this for just 10 euros! This is possible in Canada, too, just have to really watch those sales, clearances, points, coupons etc 👌 There's an awesome Canadian KZfaqr, Adventures in Groceryland. She does $23/ week grocery challenges and has build a pantry with that, too. It is unreal what she gets for that seemingly impossible amount. I think you might like her 😊

I have two eggs and two peices of toast with my coffee in the morning. I could get away with two peices of toast and peanut butter if I was short on money. Its a way for me to have a small meal with my morning coffee.

@@arraybabe8514 I follow a lot of people in the US who do videos just like this. It is indeed possible but food prices also vary more across the US than in Germany. Here, it doesn't really make a difference where you are. I lived in Massachusetts before, that isn't exactly known for being the cheapest part of the US. I follow one channel where somebody did budget videos in NYC. Not a cheap place either. She did really well. Also, important to remember, the cheapest items are not always the same everywhere. From my experience, bananas are usually cheaper in the US, including the ones that are usually a premium price over here. Chicken is often significantly cheaper depending on where you are. Fresh corn is cheaper. Most dried beans are also cheaper because they are just a lot more common in a lot of recipes and with people from certain cultures. Just to name a few. Also, ethnic supermarkets when you have them around, never to be underestimated.

Your breakfast looks more like a french one... at least here in NRW breakfast contains Brötchen or Brot... one or two, with Käse, Wurst or Marmelade, Butter underneath... not really frugal
@CocosUniverse
@CocosUniverse 2 ай бұрын
Yes, absolutely, I said that for most Germans it's a slice of bread with butter and marmelade or honey. Or, in your case, cheese and deli meat. But for me personally, a slice of bread or Hefezopf is more than enough. :) And if you need to be frugal, or have a very limited budget, you just have to cut out the cheese and the deli meat.

Germany is where the angles and the saxons came from so surely Germany is the anglo saxon world?
@CocosUniverse
@CocosUniverse 5 күн бұрын
Well, technically you are right, the Angles and Saxons came from the area we call Germany today, but since they all went to the British Isles and English as a language developed there, the Anglo-Saxon world is nowadays seen as the area in the world where English is spoken (as a first language/mother tongue).
