I love where it's going. It reminds me that it's ok to explore and not get stuck on one thing while creating. Sometimes we try to force an initial vision to work and would rather crash and burn when we're too afraid or apprehensive of what's on the other side. I actually envisioned different variations and something similar for the space, including a rug backdrop to compliment the wall color and sconces. (I could also see short floating shelves with plants. Then art and mirrors between them. Almost maximalist and eclectic.) And I absolutely LOVE layered mirrors. It really set it off for me!

Wow Rachel there is so much I want to say - I make KZfaq videos in a similar spirit as you and I swear watching you right now is like seeing/hearing my own life. I just bought my first 'tiny home' to renovate (of course I did this literally weeks before the snow arrives and so I've been racing the winter weather since I'm in the Rocky Mountains - oh and no experience at all) and can so so so relate to so much of your process and journey with getting the work done, with design, the emotional ups and downs.... the bigger thing is just how much I feel you on how f-ing hard this year has been and how that has affected my videos and so many other things... I honour and respect the heck out of the inner journey you're on and you're so so not alone wild woman! Living in a renovation space while we are doing real-inner-work inner 'renovation'/healing is so much and I hope you are giving yourself so much space around the added weight of that! I hope you know that watching you is like medicine for me because I see so much I identify with and somehow seeing it in another provides so much perspective and also major compassion and love... and inspiration. just, thank you. Seriously wish we could connect some day and do a project together! Sending love from my little corner of the world to yours 🤍🤍🤍

Just painted. 🤣 I was sort of beating myself up for not finishing an entire project before putting out the video. Then you put out this video today. Thank you very much for sharing and showing us that it is ok to share even if something isn't perfect or complete. I love the wall you designed BTW! Also, I can't wait to see what you do with all of those little mirrors! Maybe a mudroom wall or something!?!? Anyway, great job as always and thanks for sharing! 💜💜💜

Ok here’s my two cents for what it’s worth. I love the cow hide and when you put the copper behind it I think it will look fabulous. I really like the mirror with the rug trim detail again fabulous. Now I know I’m probably a minority of one but I’m not loving the paint color with the cow hide. I just am not feeling it. I get where you might want the splash of color and all that but it’s like the colors are fighting each other. It feels chaotic to me, not cohesive. But again just my opinion, and not my house.

If I had your artist talent (not the right words really) or brilliance, id be thrilled. Don’t know how you envision these ideas but I sure enjoy them. It seems almost painful at times. Do you see it as a whole or spurts that generate as you go? God gave you a gift for certain. I would love to sing, play the piano, dance, and create. Don’t do any of them. I copy others. 1: brand deals are where I make my money to provide for myself. this has been the financially hardest year on the back end so brand deals will continue to be incorporated into each episode so i can continue building this life I love and get to a point where i can finish these projects 2: I am showing the real pace with the budget that i have to work with. It does get a little intense with having to move around a bit but I don't have the budget to fully go after (without compromising) different aspects.

I didn’t mean it to be insulting. I was just trying to share from my perspective you don’t post videos on a normal basis and then it’s just brand deals that force you to work in a specific direction. I don’t mind brand deals at all but from a viewer it can see that is the only point of the video. I hope things improve for you!

Hopefully when the room rounds out, it blends a bit more. It's more of a 70's groovy vibe

I think it needs to be trimmed out to conceal the jagged edges, then it’ll look great.

Dont tell me you are going to remove the popcorn ceiling after all that work???

So many great looks, I would have stopped at the wall with all the different mirrors, or just the green paint on the flat wall with the cowhide. Getting that popcorn off is a pain, one of the worst trends of the 80's.

I pray you can gain more confidence and get over your imposter syndrome 🙏 you are doing really cool things but you always put yourself and your abilities down …. We believe in you. We are here because we love what you’re doing- stop making excuses and doubting your creativity.
