Hi Quellain, I never understood the lyrics of the song even though I like it a lot. The transfer of the beautiful butterfly to a woman is visible and I will agree with you on the rest. When you analyzed the first verse, an image came to my mind, Tarja gave a press conference shortly after the open letter and she was crying all the time, the tears mentioned in the song I think are hers, it is the closing of an era that had the always, from the most positive and happy moments to the dark and near-death thoughts. This pain made Tuomas a fantastic poet and musician on his journey with NW. I love Anette Olzon, she brings out emotions with her singing and i like her low clear notes. This video song is pure gold, the only one from this song,i love it. And yes, she hasn't the style of the metal singer like Floor and many others but i don't care at all, she is herself and people love her for that, very open and great communication with audience. In this concert in Australia had 42 C very hot day in the biggest tour of NW still today two years in the raw only three months stopped, Tuomas said that almost killed them but they were great all of them. Thank you Quellain , great choice to continue with DPP songs, beautiful album, first in selling but few songs are well known, especially to the new fans. See you next!!!

Please tell me you’re gonna do the Imaginareum album as well! Anette’s best work is on that album, as well as some of the best (but underrated) songs from their entire catalogue.

Guylain, I really appreciate the way you break down lyrics. Nightwish has always been a band that I have found my own understanding in the lyrics even though I know it may not be what was intended. It´s really a pleasure to hear what you think about it as there are always little things I miss and it gets me thinking. I really admire Tuomas for the way he can create this platform of imagination in me. Cheers

I speak my mind, openly. Sometimes, I make mistakes, but after a while (and more than 50 videos on Tuomas and NW), I guess I am not too far in the field.

Thanks once again for the Lyric’s Breakdown for me really I found a connection in this song to Poet it seems to have some of the same references but in a different way I have not listened to DPP only random songs mainly songs Floor had sung With out a new prospective on this song I would never have found the connection I feel to Poet and to have the bass fill so much of this song then go onto MPG which opens with such a powerful bass throughout that song makes me wonder if this a coincidence now after 3 years I am beginning to think there is not such a thing while I was listening to the music of this song the bass part was giving me MPG vibes and now I know why Looking forward to next week

Exactly. You will see me talking about Marko's contribution on this album. He was not only a singer. He was fully involved in the creative process. And it shows!

Questa canzone come testo è assolutamente perfetta per me (tristemente) sembra parli di me, the Looner potrei essere io dannazione, è fenomenale come Tuomas riesce a esprimere certi sentimenti, in più io ho sempre pensato che come persone dobbiamo essere piuttosto simili (e tutto sommato tristi)
