LMS 46100 Takes 12 and a 47 over the S&C on the Settle & Carlisle Tour 25/3/23.

LMS 46100 Royal Scot would be at the helm of Steam Dream's tour aptly named The Settle and Carlisle Railway from London Euston to Carlisle via the Settle and Carlisle Railway with 46100 joining at Crewe but this changed to Warrington due to problems . We first see Royal Scot attacking the climb to Wilpshire summit at Brownhill . After 46100 had taken water at Chatburn we finally see 46100 at Helwith bridge . Thanks to Nige for the great company .

Two locations I remember from the 80s. Brownhill with 4498 and Helwith Bridge (in the field 2nd clip) 6201 with Tom Heavyside. Thanks for the memories😊. Great video as usual.

Thanks John, we planned to do Sheriff brow but the fields were a quagmire so plumped for Helwith although the exhaust was always going to blow over sadly 👍

Brilliant shots Steve I am sure that sooner or later we will crosss paths pity I didnt stay on home turf.Reminds me of the TV programme when Lizzie was filmed on the bend at Brownhill and you were briefly interviewed in awful weather on location on the S & C wet through waiting for a steamer! Thanks Roy , the long straight climbing from Blackburn in the first shot does give a superb shot although sometimes you can’t hear the loco till it’s close but thankfully the sound travelled well.

Superb Steve, brownhills a cracking location and one i have not yet done, 46100 going well i thought today, good location at Helwith, did you catch the cloudbusrt there, it was like a massive flood at Ribblehead and very lucky it dried up for us, cheers Steve . 🎥👍🌧

More fantastic views of one of my favourites - my model one's been circulating all day by coincidence. Total powerhouse for her relative size - 12+3 and didn't seem to be 'hauling her own' half of the time at least, so decent performance. Thanks. Al.
