It’s not fair to pick a favorite member yet lol. You are gonna say that about every member and then you will know. But Jimin is just freaking AMAZING. HE has that MJ feel.

Jimin himself said something like “I was partying and thinking that I was having a great time but actually I wasn’t”. Listening to the whole album it sounds like he was trying to recover from a broken heart.

Just so you know, don't take things for face value. When it comes to BTS and their music, it's far deeper than the lyrics and music video. The lyrics is just the slightest of hints to what honestly going on. The upbeat tempo is a contradiction to the unfortunate "Laugh when it hurts" lyrics. He's in pain, so he rather be "lost in the lights," of the memories of when he was most happy, even when those very memories cause him more pain because that happiness is no longer real. A lot of their songs that they write end up being based off of a book or movie, or a mixer of past feelings. This is what sets BTS apart. Now of days most singers just sing a song given or if they do write, there isn't much going into the writing, all they want from it is a quick hit money maker. So trust, if you do dig deeper into BTS, be ready to be surprised by all the work that goes into everything they put out.

They say get to know all 7 members of BTS and let your bias choose you. Fortunately for me, my bias was Jimin from the very start and he’s been rock solid in that place for the last 6 years. I have so much expectations for this artist, and every time he comes out with something new and exceeds that expectation. I’ve never been disappointed by Jimin as an artist yet. So needless to say this has been the most exhausting 2-3 weeks from so much excitement but it’s been a rollercoaster, and I’ve loved everything about this album. ♦Jimin mentioned that one of his fav movies “Like Crazy” inspired parts of the song aside from the title of song. In the beginning as well as ending to the song, he even samples excerpts from it. Jimin has also said that many of the songs on the album convey what he was going through, his thoughts, his feelings, his emotions as well as despair & depression, during the pandemic in the last few yrs. He also was hoping that many could help others by way of relating & going through similar difficulties during pandemic. So this song Like Crazy, could also be during that time, thinking back while laying his head down, on table in that depressing small room, dreaming of the better times in the past, when he was free to enjoy himself, as wel as being with someone or with friends, or even around ppl in general, being able to be free to go out & party. Which is why he even said in the lyrics please don’t wake me up from this dream. I want to stay here.. Maybe that was what all the dirty grimyness also represented, despair of situation, how he felt or how things were at that time, even when it seemed to even ooze into his dream state.

BTS is number 1 for a reason. They keep growing their talent, however you could do a deep dive from the beginning and be blown away. It’s a journey and one worth taking.

Jimin said Face is a chronological story of his feelings during the pandemic. With that in mind to me the song and the video are about his inner struggles, which he finally resolves in Set Me Free pt 2. J-hope did something similar with his album, the prerelease song was the answer he poses to himself in the title track (More and Arson respectively). BTS songs are not cliché. They dive into real issues, with the exception of their English songs. Art is always about interpretation so whatever you got out of the song is the right meaning for you. The troubled love story in the LIKE CRAZY movie which Jimin said had inspire this song is possibly a parallel between Jimin and ARMY. Jimin couldn't meet ARMY during the pandemic, he couldn't do live shows and for someone who live on the stage and for ARMY, that was crazy depressing for him. We know that Jimin is a drinker. He could be drinking to escape his sorrows. I hope its only that and not other things, the English version specifically mentioned "ice", yikes. I hope its just ice in his drink. hehe. Jimin's personal messages to ARMY during the pandemic have also been the most hard hitting addressing mental health. When Jimin performed again at MOTS:ONE concert, he was overwhelmed and broke down and cried and shared that he suffered so much, how difficult it was not to be able to meet and perform for ARMY. He also said recently that the album is his personal chronology during covid and has to do with his Depression. There are other theories floating around too such as the link to Anima, one of the 4 MOTS Jungian concepts not explored by BTS yet (RM - Persona, Suga - Shadow, Jhope - Ego). In the dance practice version, we can see the Korean girl and Jimin dancing. It looked as if she is his love interest but look carefully, they are mirroring each other's moves (not obvious in the stage performance because the girl wasn't 100% in synch with Jimin's moves - her arms moved more and she jumped too early), but the girl in the practice is on point. So the girl could be a reflection of himself, his Anima. The meaning of the Anima is one's feminine side, the true self in the subconscious level which often get manifested in dreams. And this whole mv is a dream. So for me, Jimin wasn't singing about any love interest in the traditional sense.

Hello thank you for checking out our boy Jimin! 💜 This album will be miss interpreted by a lot of newer fans that aren't following Jimin's backstory especially with this song in particularly watching the music video it seems as if he's having a good time however, this whole album is about his struggles throughout the time of COVID and unfortunately due to his struggling he's resorted to alcohol. He even mentioned this album might be hard to understand because it was written for him. If you look at the album songs you can see the first song start with Face-Off where he was to drunk to realize what was happening around him almost having like a face off with everything around him. Then the 2nd song he has the Interlude : Dive where he's diving into this drunken depression. Then the 3rd song Like crazy where he's now going partying to try and forget all of the things he's struggling with internally however, afterwards he realizes that after all of the partying he's still in this depressed and lonely place. Which then comes to the 4th song Alone where the true emotions come out about his depression state. Some people may think the last song was Set Me Free Pt.2 which you guy's reacted to already where he is realizing all his demons are trying to fight him but he realizes that he's the only person that can truly set himself free. Lastly there is a hidden song to the album called Letter where this letter can be taken as a letter to himself / future him / past him / BTS or even to Army. So this whole album is telling a story of his struggles and how he over comes them. Once again thank you for giving BTS a chance 💜 There are a lot songs / albums newer fans will not understand without the context behind them hence why us Army have to be so invested into them!

Like Crazy is part of the album amazing storytelling. It's inspired by Like Crazy movie. The song conveys the feelings of turning a blind eye to reality and running away from it in order to forget the pain. The MV it's creative too. The 'reality' is where Jimin is in the room leaning on the table. But the part where he's pulled by hand is his mind pulling him in his 'dream world' to escape that reality. In the club he's trying to get lost and pretend everything is fine. Those blurry behind him scenes and focus on Jimin ceeates this mirrage like feeling. But also there hes looking for someone. Which is the girl. When they about to meet, scene goes to him looking in the mirror. Implicating she's his reflection. Interesting choreo has this part too mirror dance. Like always everything is thoroughly thought about. There is lots that I didn't mentioned. This is one of reasons. I love about BTS and theirs solo work. Song is not just a song, music video it's not just music video, choreo is not just choreo. There is always eastern eggs. You still can enjoy songs on its own without diving deep but if you wanna to hear the story they are telling you need to go from top to bottom. Read the lyrics and watch MV beyond surface value.

I think this is all about reality vs dream state and isn't directed towards anyone but himself and his struggles. The album tells his story of his feelings and struggles through the pandemic. Jimin is actually quite a shy person, sure he likes to have fun but Jimin is such a deep person and a lot of people have put him in a cage with such views. He's extremely misinterpreted and takes his work music and dance very seriously. Nothing from this album is shallow, it's extremely deep and actually incredibly sad.

Fun fact...in South Korea (Asia in general) they love their alcohol. They always (well mainly when they eat) drink alcohol.

It's true man. He's the one who has that variety of genre which I can't say for the others. And his voice and dance lines are standouts. If you listen to the other songs in his album, FACE off and Alone are both different as well compared to set me free pt 2 and like crazy.

There’s a saying which helps with his name… “Once you JIM-IN you can’t JIM-OUT” Try not to fall into the trap of ascribing western-style boy band roles to the BTS members as you encounter them. They’re impossible to ‘box’ in a simplistic way. Another thing worth mentioning is that, out of a discography which is pushing up toward 400 songs, there are probably a handful which are straightforward love songs… they’re almost always much more complex and nuanced than that. Songs which can sound light and upbeat may well be anything but.

You've only seen the one song from J Hope, which was a goodbye to ARMY and a tribute to his inspiration, J Cole. You need to check out his album Jack in the Box before you say Jimin is the coolest. Maybe a good introduction to BTS as a whole should be the opening 2 songs from the Yet to Come concert in Busan 2022, songs Mic Drop and Run BTS. When Jimin was asked about this song, he said it's about the painful feeling of losing oneself while searching for a loved one in a dream, but still wanting to stay in the dream forever. They asked what the dream is and he said it's BTS. BTS is the only dream he has so he hopes he can stay in it for a long time. That doesn't mean you can't interpret it differently though! Whatever you can connect with. I love that all of their songs have so much more meaning beyond the surface level, and you can enjoy them to whatever extent you want. You're right that he drinks a lot and is a very playful member of the group. I know Jimin said he was having some alcohol issues during the pandemic and that’s why he wrote this song, so I wonder if this song is about that. Like the girl he’s referring to is an analogy for the liquor and how it sort of controls you.
