Sometimes what our productions need is a new sound and it’s so tempting to reach for presets we’ve used before, which have served our needs in the past. But sometimes, it’s more fun to make a brand new sound from scratch, perhaps looking to an unusual start point for new sonic foundations.
In this episode, Jono is making two new simple Sampler instruments from two Ultrabeat drum sounds. One is more obviously pitched than the other but by the end, two new instruments will have been made which are playable, loopable and ready to be unique elements within your productions.
