Yeah but in comics it makes sense that they treat them as just stones as the TVA is outside the universe. The infinity stones lose there power outside their universe, I’m pretty sure if they kept their powers the TVA wouldn’t allow their personnel to have them as desk decoration

Just a sad reminder that Loki’s neck was broken, he wasn’t dead but paralysed, your body slowly suffocates you as you shut down so Loki knew Thor was hugging him

when loki refers to himself as “odinson” then looks at thor it’s like he knows he’s probably going to die so that’s his way of telling thor that they’re brothers and that just breaks my heart every time and his TVA file didn’t end when thanos broke his neck it ended after thor’s hug so i think loki wasn’t dead yet and he felt thor’s hug before he died

So heres an explanation: Loki isn't dumb to attack thanos like that, he knows thanos has a thing for two- to- one so he thought if he sacrificed himself as one of Odin's son, thanos will spare thor's life which is why he kept glacing at thor. This is the only theory that helps me accept loki's death😭😭😭😭❤❤❤❤

Maybe after Sylvie created all of those alternate timelines in episode two that something will change but I think if he wasn’t dead the file would have kept going. I really hope he comes back though I miss him so much

@@MegaTacocaT its not a stretch to think that Loki told thanos about his first “death”, he probably had to explain how he came to thanos. Also after Loki’s “death” in Thor 2, we see that he had theatre re-enactments depicting his death. It makes sense that word would get around that Odin, a literally god, just lost his son.

Thanos -> Sacrifices half the population to save the remaining half. Loki -> Sacrifices his life for infinity to save the multiverse. Now we know what it means to be a GOD.

In the first two movies, we saw Loki fighting to understand who and what he was. He tried to destroy the Frost giants because he hated being a frost giant. He stopped believing that Odin loved him until Ragnorak. Here, he says he's three things, a prince of Asgard, which as the younger brother of the king of Asgard, he is, Odinson, where he looks at his brother Thor, and the King of Jotunheim, thus accepting he is a Frost giant. He died finally accepting who he is.

The look on Thor’s face when Loki dies is so heart breaking And the way he tries the yell no and how his first instinct when he is free is to grab Loki and call his name even tho he knows deep down he is dead he uses all of his strength to crawl over to Loki This shows how much Thor has cared for Loki, no matter all his flaws

"You.... will never be.... a God". Just look at Thanos' immediate reaction to those last words from this Loki. For a brief moment it hit him.... hard. Growing up, he was an outcast, judged by his appearance, ostracised and ridiculed by his people on Titan. He's always been alone until he basically assembled his own family (or fell in love with Mistress Death in the comics). He might be immensely powerful but he was never loved, never accepted, never admired as a God would be admired. And with his dying breath, the God of Mischief was able to strike a final blow and remind Thanos of all of that and more. Glorious.

@@yeontan6745 Not really Those stone were used not the way intended by the sacred timeline causing a nexus event : Once the event was repaired, history went on again, and so they died for stones crushed by Thanos after destroying half of the universe life.

Outside their home dimension, Infinity Stones lose their power. That being said, we have yet to see if the Infinity Stones in Casey's drawer were real, given the Doctor Doom created the TVA.

Personally, I think what makes this scene sadder is the fact that, not only did Thor witness his brother’s death, but he feels really guilty about it even though none of it was his fault.

After Loki's own series, I'm convinced he took advice from Old Loki and in this scene simply conjured up an illusion - after all, Loki has seen his death, knows how to avoid it and been given advice from his older self on how to not get killed by it. I reckon hes still alive.

Bra what’s crazy is this is the scene classic Loki was telling Loki in the Void “That he faked his death so good even a Mad Titan believed it”. If you notice at the End Loki eyes was tearing and he had a small smirk on his face when Thor crawled over crying. He was happy to know that Thor loved him and was crying inside that he couldn’t show the love back to him. He wasn’t dead just faking his death so he can be at the end of Time protecting everyone from a Distance.

When Loki looks at Thor when he calls himself Odinson, he wasn't just telling Thor that they ARE brothers, he was pledging himself to Thor. The look in Thor's eyes is understanding and fear. he knows what Loki is about to do and he's scared out of his mind. Then he sees Loki with the knife and the weight hits him. He's lost his parents and his kingdom and his best friend, and now he's going to lose his brother.

Loki had such character development before this in Ragnarok. He was finally acting like a brother, he and Loki made peace. They were willing to make new Asgard together in their terms. Accepting one another for who they were. Then Thanos happened and killed OUR Loki that grew up. Honestly if they don’t mention this or explain how it happened in the TV series I will be so mad.

While I’m sad because of his early death Loki played no role in the Infinity War or Endgame, I’m happy where they’re taking his story and his death was an amazing way to introduce Thanos. There’s no better way to introduce the big bad villain than having him kill off the first villain

The original Loki is dead guys. Yes he is right-handed but Thano's people were on his right. They would have seen the knife in his right hand. So he had to use his left hand to hide it from them. Only Thor saw it.

1: he did 2: the music has no meaning for the individual death when its representing a larger story as a whole, as in, the music is representing the impending horror that thanos represents. 3: he was stupid enough to fight thor multiple times, so yes he is stupid enough to do that. Not only that what other options does he have? This guy has 2 infinity stones that already make him outmatch lokis power. 4: thats why thanos says: “no resurections this time”. The filmmakers know we would be theorizing about this

3:44 hurt me the most! Thor saying Loki was so heartbreaking because he knew he was dead and that he might never see him again. Even tho loki did horrible things they cared about eachother no matter what. A sibling bond is the strongest bond in the entire world! I have 3 siblings myself, I would do anything for them and I would be heartbroken if anything happened to them.

it could mean that this loki that died was a projection of the real one that was stranded in space while this was happening. so basically what happened with classic loki is what is happening with the main Loki. he faked his death and is living on a planet

Everyone is sad, including me, after 4 years now, coming back to this video once in a while. The lokis have different journeys of their own, for example, the kid Loki killed Thor, but our Loki never did, also I don’t think the variant Loki will be able to go back to the time he came only if dr strange or he manage to fix the time line, because in the end of the series, he is clearly in another universe as the statue of kang shows

No, Thanos is just a self-righteous, egotistical monster; he knew was he was doing, so he had to post-talk justify genociding half of the universe. In reality, he did it to catch the eye of Death, because she (yes, Death is a woman) was more focused on Deadpool. His planet wasn't stripped of resources, he just murdered all of them.

Because the writers at MCU tired to make Thanos out to be a superficial sympathetic tragic hero; but, in all reality, he's just a power-hungry beast that just wants to murder half the universe. In Endgame, it's clear that he wants to sees himself as a tragic hero, but the actual heros know he's just throwing a pity party for him. Why do you think Loki called him out?

So heres an explanation: Loki isn't dumb to attack thanos like that, he knows thanos has a thing for two- to- one so he thought if he sacrificed himself, thanos will spare thor's life which is why he kept glacing at thor. This is the only theory that helps me accept loki's death😭😭😭😭❤❤❤❤

This is a heartbreaking scene. Making Thor watch them kill his little brother. Loki proved that he did love Thor. Despite all the bitterness and fighting between them, at the end of the day they were still brothers and still cared about each other. Makes this even more tragic to see. Glad to know he didn't really die though. I just felt awful for Thor having to see this. I really hope they get to see each other again at some point.
