Introducing my signature Martini! My partner Christian created a Martini for me, using Madeira wine instead of Vermouth (since my father is from Madeira, Portugal) and classic Swedish Christmas/winter flavors like cardamom and saffron. Find the recipe for the cardamom & saffron tincture below. Enjoy!
Cardamom & saffron tincture:
100 ml vodka
1 tbsp cardamom seeds
2 large pinches of saffron
Combine vodka and cardamom seeds in a jar or bottle, let sit for 3-4 days at room temperature. Give it a good shake every now and then. After 3-4 days, strain the mixture and discard the cardamom seeds. Pour the mixture back into the jar/bottle and add saffron. Let sit att room temperature for at least 24 hours, then strain mixture through a coffee filter or cheese cloth.
