Lone Peak Overland Camper Diesel Heater Quick Connect and use

I went out and the first night needing the diesel heater, I instantly realized that it was a pain to get the diesel heater hose on the port with a hose clamp with my hands. I spent about 20 hours designing a quick mount and got it finished up. If interested in purchasing, my etsy page is linked below.

Very nice, if you used some rare earth magnets instead of a set screw, that would be the bomb! Great job though, I could definitely use one. Very nice ideas!

upper left adventures ordered 4 of your rock light mounts. how did you mount yours dble stick tape or drill extra holes in the outside doors

I drilled three holes. Two for bolts and one for wiring

While I don't have a LonePeak or a diesel heater, I always like seeing these upgrades that make things easier. I am wondering if it would be even more 'quick connect' if the adapter could attach with a magnet. Looking at the video, it seems there is a magnet holding the flap in place (bottom right corner)? perhaps a magnet can be embedded into the adapter so it would just 'snap on' without any set screw?

Yea, a magnet was looked at, and tested, but I didn't like it being able to be pulled off so easy. Heat also degrades magnets over time, so didn't want to chance something not holding after a while. Might be something I try again down the road, but will see.

The heat from the diesel heater will greatly be reduced having that long dryer vent hose, specially those freezing nights, by the time the heat will get in to the camper, it probably reduces half of its heat or even more.

Going on 3 years using this hose, reduces the heat by about 15% via a laser thermometer.
