Sorry if there are any mistakes, I'm French. At the time Lordi won Eurovision I was 16 years old, I lived in a small town where no one was "different", except me. In high school, with my pink hair and my unusual clothes, people looked at me like the girl in the music video. Seeing this clip and this music saved me at that time. It helped me to hold on and assert myself. 17 years later, I still listen to Lordi! Thanks to them .

I'll never forget the night they won Eurovision. I'm Turkish, and it was broadcasted live at government channel. The announcer was a very formal Eurovision veteran, and it was obvious that he was shocked by the performance of Lordi. And he was even more shocked by the fact that they were about to win. Until the last minute, he almost prayed for someone else to win, and I was totally drunk and laughing in tears. Had so much fun that night, thanks to Lordi!

For decades it was a running joke that Finland would ever win the Eurovision. Then in 2006, not only did Lordi win it with this track, but they kicked the arses of every Eurovision winner before and since.

I was a hardcore metal/ rock fan. I voted for them from 5 different phones and to this day love the fact they won! to this day my fav eurovision song! I also listen to pop and other ,but lets be honest there is nothing over metal and rock! they say what they want, when they want!

I'm 16 and I didnt know about this song until last Sunday night, only reason I watched Eurovision 2021 was for Finland and Italy. Then this song was performed and it caught my interest immediately. I can now say that this, alongside Dark Side by Blind Channel, are the 2 favourites in my playlist currently 😅

When I was 6 years old (2006) I was terrified of this clip and recorded it on cassette because even though it scared me I loved the track and the aesthetic and especially their makeup. And now I'm 24 I remembered this masterpiece and decided to re-listen.

I'm a Finn (at the time living in the UK), and I'll never forget the night they won Eurovision, for very obvious reasons ;D The next morning when I woke up I was like "Was that all a dream?!? Or did Finland actually win Eurovision???!?" Hell has indeed frozen over... (As there was a popular saying, "Sooner will Hell freeze over than Finland win Eurovision song contest ;))

Can't believe it's been 14 years. I have a traumatic experience when they were going to play on Idol with Nordman in Kiruna and i were too young, but my sister went and she thought they sucked 🤐 Both Lordi and Nordman is my favs til this day ❤❤ Ps: I fell asleep at 00.00 when they were playing live 😢 ( was 14yrs old)

just thank you. you showed me, that metal as taste IS acceptable. all the time until then i had doubts, but your supreme victory at ESC 2006 showed me (and most likely many others) that metal is OK, it's GOOD! since then, i was able to hold my head MUCH higher than before.
