One hell of a team that was .. WI .... Lara, Gayle, Sarwan, Chanderpaul, Powell, smith, Bravo.... At that time, I used to wait for wi vs aus series. Only team which gave aus a tough fight ....
@jehanariyaratnam28744 жыл бұрын
That team lacked bowlers though, Ian Bradshaw was a good make shift odi bowler, but after walsh and ambrose retired it took them ages to find roach. Now they have roach, gabriel, oshane thomas, and alzarri joseph. Find a good spinner and they could build a really good side. They are already starting to beat good teams at home..

Hinds ,gayle, lara ,sarwan ,chanderpaul,powell, samuels, bravo ,jacobs,smith,ryan hinds.. hell of a team . They defeated by aus 4-3 home series in 2003 but win last 3 matches back to back . The main prblm was for wi was they never took opposite team seriously until they loss series . Orelse with this batting line they easily beat any team in that era . And they have lack of good bowlers . Dillon,tino best ,bradshaw,curry collymore,drakes,nagamotoo not threat to any team. Only bravo was a technical bowler ,a young fast bowler named jermain lawson was there ,but icc dropped him due to his howling action. He was a speed star he bowled over 155+ kmph . He cost india to loss home series 4-3 against them in 2002 after taking most cruicial wickets of india .

Gayle was breaching team protocol on a nightly basis especially on nights before games and was repeatedly warned by sarwan who was at the time the head coach for the Jamaica tallawahs franchise...rather than have Gayle charged...sarwan instead dropped him from the playing 11 on a few occasions so he'd get his act together.
