Wouldn’t It Be Great, the eagerly-awaited new studio album from Loretta Lynn, is one of the most deeply personal projects of her career. Originally scheduled to be released in August 2017, this album was put on hold as Loretta worked through recovering from a stroke she suffered in May 2017.
An exploration of Loretta's songwriting, Wouldn't It Be Great finds her sharing the universality of human experience - love in all its intoxication and heartbreak, the abiding things of soul and spirit, the transformative power of music and connecting to the world.
Comprised entirely of songs written or co-written by Loretta, the album premieres new compositions alongside select soulful reinterpretations of staples from her catalog and immortal classics. Wouldn’t It Be Great communicates the hard truths and spiritual insights Loretta has gathered throughout her life and reflects the resilience that sustains her still. Saw her live in a small casino venue, she sat through the concert which is fine. She didn't have a singing list. she just asked the audience what do you want me to sing. very gracious and getting frail. the audience loved and respected her presence. Bless Loretta and thank you for all the precious "true" country simple songs you wrote and sang through the years. Today's country just ain't the same. Too commercial, fast and complicated. Your fans love you.

@@muhfuukybuckey Kentucky women are strong, will roof houaes, plumbing, overhaul transmissions. My husband is from Tennessee and it blew his mins seeing so many women doing this type of work. It's the Irish element hsre, so many men are drunks and drug addicts. Loretta has that same strength. It's weird how Roman history spoke of fighting the Irish and getting the upper hand of the Irish men and the men go run and get their women to fight for them. It's a lovely day to go. What a wonderful life she's lived and a legacy she leaves! It warms my heart through the sadness that she gets to see her daddy again. And she can give Patsy a hug for us all!♡ I'll always think of Loretta Lynn and her music as some of the best America has to offer.

Troy D. Young. I first heard this amazing woman when I returned home from serving in Europe in 1966. She was and still is one of the greatest Country Singers of all time. Read the comments after watching the video. Not one negative comment, and hundreds of positive ones. That is love.

I love this song.Such a beautiful woman.I remember when I was a girl myself & my cousins wanting to be coal miners daughters.It would always come to blows over which one of us got to be Loretta Lynn.Please stay with us a little while longer,if you can.You make the world a beutiful place.Your as beautiful inside as you are on the inside

I do love Miss Loretta. Dolly is the Queen of Country, though. There’s a reason she is the most decorated lady in country music and still sells out arenas. Businesswoman , movie star, philanthropist, and her own theme park. The only female artist to have the same song reach number one in two different decades (I will always love you.) 54 top ten hit records. I could go on for days. No disrespect to Loretta, but Dolly passed her up many years ago. Dolly took country music around the World when nobody really cared about Country.

I took a road trip this summer from Boston to Hurricane Mills Tennessee alone. So glad I did! I really enjoyed the tour of the home she grew up in (a replica of the original) and the house she built with her late husband. Also, I spent a few hours in the museum. The surrounding area is also beautiful. I wanted to see everything before she (or myself) passed. So glad I did.

I found out my grandpas Wilsons had come from Harlin County Kentucky and we have a Webb ancestor. She is one singer that i have always dreaded hearing the day she passed..One of the last great singers what i call real authentic Country Music.
