Over 20 years ago, I was run over by my kid’s mom. One of my kids still has a close relationship with her talking every week or two. The other talks with her one or two times a year. Not that he has an issue they just don’t really know each other. What she is to me is far different then what she is to them and life moves on. You will see where he stands with them years from now.

Yes. I understand that first day because they had 3 people telling a similar story. Especially Tylee backing them up. But when Charles' body was moved and the bullet evidence showed he was shot lying on the floor they didn't do their job. The horror of it was the timing. How long did Charles struggle after the first shot. He didn't die. And finally Alex shot him again. How horrible.

The death penalty was removed for Lori Vallow on a technicality due to the prosecution missing a deadline to provide documents. Chad's request to remove the death penalty from his trial is not the same as Vallow's and is unconnected to the extent of his culpability versus Lori's.

I am worried they (Defense) are claiming that there should be equity in the justice of co-conspirators....meaning she isn't getting the DP so he shouldn't either. This is an odd ball point....but Alex was equally culpable but since he is dead, he isn't getting charged AT ALL by the courts....does that mean NONE of them should be charged?!!? IMO, no! For a man who has claimed over and over that he has visited heaven many times and Jesus is excitedly waiting for his "brother", why the sudden cold feet? So 1. either Chad is finally admitting it's all grifter's bs 2 or he does believe in heaven and hell and he knows he's not "joining" anyone in heaven. But if Chad is saying Lori is more culpable, that implies he has said something about her direct role in the children's deaths. For to be more culpable than Chad, who is the only person present when Tammy was murdered, Lori would have had to be directly responsible for more than one murder. It's implying SHE murdered her children, not Alex.

Hi Nate from over here in Felixstowe England. I’ve got ants in my pants waiting for Chads trial in April. Thank you for your coverage on this. It’s going to be very interesting to see how it goes. It is so disturbing that the narrative, despite the evidence, can be one sided, to family. The children of Tammy believe their father? I can not understand the darkness that falls from Chad's tongue. The defense of Chad will totally blame Alex and Lori even though Chad was present during the demise of his wife, Tylee and JJ. In my home state, Iowa, it is prohibited for inmates to communicate by letters. They're not allowed to send letters from one penitentiary to another. They can send a letter to someone on the outside and that person can mail it to another prison. They also remove any stickers/stamps that might be on the envelope and/or letter.

Spouses cannot be compelled to testify against each other, though they can choose to. Non-spouses can be subpoenaed and forced to testify.

Chad sounds so damn sorry for himself on that call with Lori and it makes me feel sick. In the text from the day they kill/burn/dismember/bury Tylee from Chad to Tammy about 'burning the limbs' he sounds so chirpy and upbeat. Not now huh Chad? But that sadness is ONLY for himself. I also suspect if they are writing, (I imagine if anything it's Lori writing to Chad and him not responding) that (for example) Lori is sending mail to someone outside like her Mum or another of the cult members, maybe Melani the niece, with a mark on the letter supposed to be sent in to Chad under someone else name from Lori.

To my knowledge most jails and prisons , anyone in custody is not allowed to speak or communicate with anyone in another prison or communicate with anyone with a record or incarcerated.

I thought so too....but in true crime shows where co-conspirators got imprisoned....they always make a statement at the end saying "neither one has reached out to the other since their incarcerations"

Thank you Nate. I don't believe Lori will be called to testify at Chad's trial. As they are married unless she signs a waiver, spouses cannot be compelled to testify against each other.

I think Daybell is going to throw Lori so far under the bus it will lift it up! It's pretty clear from the initial filing to remove the death penalty that that has already started.

I pray the State has their stuff together in order for Chad to be found guilty. I keep wondering what Prior plans to do so he can capitalize on his efforts. He certainly isn't representing Chad from the goodness of his heart. I wonder if he will try to turn this around so Chad can walk and sue the State for false imprisonment. Not that I see that happening but we have seen miscarriage of justice in some really big cases. This needs to be televised!

He just may have an advantage and get a lighter sentence then Lori.
