A great performance from Lorna Luft. I saw her in concert a few years ago she was superb. It's ridiculous to constantly keep comparing her with her mother and half sister. To have three top singing stars in one family is truly amazing.

This is the best that I have ever heard Lorna Luft sing. I used to think, 'okay it's Judy Garland's daughter and Liza Minnelli's half sister, so she's out there too'. But after hearing this - I say "Lorna - you go girl".

Can you imagine a concert with Judy, Lisa and Lorna being the same age and singing Judy's standards? I truly would die, and be happy to do so! Maybe someday in heaven eons from now...

I saw Lorna recently here in Florida. She is EXCELLENT! She sounds much more like her mother Judy Garland than Liza. Most artists will agree. She is absolutely her mother's daughter and I know that Judy is looking from above and smiling! Love you Lorna! I absolutely love listening to her!

She’s really a great singer! I think she sounds very different from her mom and sister. She stands on her own.

Lorna has an amazing voice and where both her and Liza sing very well there is no comparison to Judy. She is the greatest sing/actress/dancer of the 30's and 40's. wish I had been alive to see her films when they were originally released. But Lorna none the less is still a great singer who never got her chance if you will.

She has that rising voice full of emotion, singing not screaming. She now knows what the words mean being over 50 having had a heartbreak yet has found love again with second husband. How she can sing this and not think of her mother, may be that’s the point, it’s a celebration , a thank you to her mother for she only could’ve had the talent to sing from her mother. The love she has for her mother makes this an emotional song even more than originally written. Bravo Lorna. Took a lot of guts

Shows how little you know about Lorna. She spent YEARS running away fro her mother's legacy. She didn't want to follow in her shadows. In fact, until her "Songs My Mother Taught Me" show began in 98/99, she hardly touched her mother's work. Do your homework before you say nasty things.

Lorna has a terrific voice - someone called her the Best Wedding singer you could buy. While that sounds unkind and somehow a put-down, it's not really. Technically, she is just fine. What she doesn't quite have, and it's not her fault, is that unique 'star' quality. I like Lorna, play her recordings and have always liked her and have seen her in person about four times - and she puts on an excellent show every performance. But somehow, everything didn't always fall in place for her, career-wise. I think she initially tried to "do her own thing" and NOT come across as a second Judy Garland but as the years passed I guess she felt she should do a Tribute to her Mom kind of show - I'm sure it's not easy always being compared to a famous Mom and a famous Sister as well ~

I like what you said about "Judy will be forever in the short list of miracles." It's true. You can't compare miracles with anything else. It reminds me of a thing I read somewhere , some critic referring to "Judy, the little Mozart of song-and-dance..."

It's interesting that Judy's daughters didn't inherit her looks, but they did her voice (or rather, most of it). Liza looks just like Vincente and Lorna looks just like Sid, but somehow, they both ended up singing just about as good as Judy.

Lorna is a great singer... but no one beats Liza in her prime as an entertainer. She is one of the only and last greats left. And of course, Judy is a whole other wolrd, the voice, the way she broke your heart.

Sensational. She has better control over her voice than Lisa.

She has a GREAT voice but THIS is why Liza is more famous than Lorna because Liza took her mother's advice, "You don't have to sing any of the songs I sang. Just remember, you want to be a first rate version of yourself, not the second rate version of somebody else." Liza took the advice which was a VERY smart thing to do.

If you have never seen Lorna live you have missed a stunning singer, you have to see all singers live to see if they can sing and Lorna is better than her sister by many a mile, a star.

Liza won't sing any of her mother's standards. But Liza plays in and out of her mother's repertoire. I think it's good at least one family person keeps on performing Judys songs. Why not Lorna. Love her voice.

Lorna...has the better quality voice but Liza has the show personality. Lorna has the better voice but both will have the gene.

Lorna is probably not quite on the par of her mom, but she's actually a better vocalist than Liza ... always has been; but the entertainment business has always been first and foremost about opportunity, timing, and a LOT of luck. Liza (being older) was the 'chosen' one .. Liza got Cabaret and the rest is history.

I don't know about you but I wouldn't leave Lorna.

It always seems like she's in search of her niche and just can't quite find it.

I am sure Judy Garland is proud of her daughters and their own contribution to entertainment. It's in the blood and genes. Not so bad if you ask me a great family legacy.

Even Liza blamed Lorna for abandoning her mum , she used to help her with her pills and knew if she was without or took them out of sequence she would die, Sid told Lorna that!

Her voice is swell...but something is definitely missing... when Lorna sings I NEVER feel on the edge of my seat in the same way i do listening to her mother or sister both of whom have the incredible catch breath phrasing and that very necessary touch of nervousness to make it REALLY exciting. For me, this vocal interpretation of an outstanding song is well sung but simply put... too square.

This is the ONLY version that can hold a candle to Judy's. I didn't think Lorna had it in her. Her singing has been so variable over the years. Would really like to know when this is from.

Granite that was a big responsibility that Syd left to give to Lorna, but for her to just up and leave and leave her mom high and dry when she knew she needed help that’s pretty damn selfish. Whether she was 16 or not she should’ve made sure her mother had help before she left her. Because as soon as Lorna left her her mother died months later.

Judy once said "Lorna has more talent than me and Liza put together." Yup.

Lorna is a damn good singer YES but I think she sings this song too closely to Judy"s interpretation: quiet then belting in all the same places as Judy! She should sing it differently and make it her own

Lorna is always just a little off-pitch, and she compensates with a big vibrato. This has always been the case - even as a child. She has a wonderful, warm personality and is a fine, natural actress - but I just cannot bear her singing. There is that concert with Liza and Judy together, remarking how nice it is that that both sing on-key. Unfortunately, Lorna cannot make the same claim.
