This casserole looks so good!! I am going to make that for Thanksgiving, for sure! I definitely prefer the frozen peas, however, I use canned occasionally for a quick pea salad! I have also been known to eat canned peas right out of the can! LOL🤣😂😉

When you mentioned your Mom saying, "Eat your peas," you just made me remember something from long ago; my Grandma used to say, "I eat my peas with honey, I've done it all my life. It makes the peas taste funny but they don't roll off my knife."

This is a small observation, I appreciate how you get every little bit out of every container. It shows how you are a home cook, and made your dollar stretch many years ago. It still effects your behavior today. Me too.

Looks INCREDIBLE Paula!!!! But NOT sure kids would go for the Mushrooms and Peas. Then again, that was before you put the French Fried Onions on them. That might make a difference!!!!

This dish looks so versatile! You can use green beans instead of peas, replace green bean casserole altogether, or use that sauce for Mac & Cheese! YUM!

Couldn't agree more. Take it a notch up, add cream, pesto and cooked spaghetti. Coat that spaghetti with all that deliciousness. Serve topped with shavings of parmesan cheese!!! Heaven!!!!!

I love sweet pea/ English peas. Did you use fresh sweet peas or a bag of frozen peas? I'd probably would rather have the Ritz crackers and drizzle butter on top. I don't care for the onion rings. But that what she made in the pan looks really good. I'll have to try this recipe. Thanks for sharing.

Peas reminds me of my brother when he was little. He was told to eat his peas. My mom noticed his cheeks looked swollen, she found that he had them stored in his cheek 🤣. True story he was probably 5 years old. I love peas. Thank you for the yummy recipe.

Many years my Mom would open a can of little green peas, you know the ones and became a joke in our family. As I began to cook for her, I used a different brand and she was surprised to realize her little green peas weren't so great anymore. I always cream them with flour and butter as she did, but casserole, no thanks. I prefer my own green bean casserole without condensed soup .
