Great song, and listening to it back I'm realizing how powerful Haruna's drums are to drive it! 🤘

Asami has the X factor, not only is she an awesome singer, but her stage presence, in the way she floats across the stage so gracefully always smiling and interacting with the crowd is something to behold. She has the glowing aura of a rock star, natural born entertainer, this whole band is special in what they do and that can't be disputed. Once bitten forever smitten 🎵🎹🥁🎸🎤🐺🤘

Yep, not only does Asami have the powerful and melodic vocals that soar over Lovebites fast-paced and heavy riffs/licks with ease, she's also a very accomplished and elegant stage general

Very elegant, but also a commanding stage presence! As I'm taking in more of the Lovebites songs, I hear more and more of Asami's range and it's incredible! 🤘

I really appreciate all of your reactions to amazing Lovebites in a very short time; they deserve more recognition. Obviously you’ve already realized that they’re talented, skillful and versatile exceptional musicians and that they shine in their live performances. Those twin lead guitar solos by Midori and Miyako are already legendary, in just six years. Some people say that they’re breaking the walls of stereotypes in the metal scene or that they’re redefining metal.

Thanks so much for checking out my videos, and for the feedback! I'm really happy to have found Lovebites, and to be taking in such wonderful music! I'd love to see Midori and Miyako on the front cover of a magazine like Guitar World. I know back in the day that was how I learned of many artists I was not familiar with. I think breaking the walls of stereotypes, and redefining metal are both pretty accurate. The level of talent across the board with Lovebites is phenomenal! 🤘

Former bassist Miho wrote the foundation for Break The Wall, While Miyako than added color to the composition. Miyako wrote the solo in the middle with Gary Moore in mind. From the EP Battle Against Damnation Lyrics: Miho Music: Miho and Miyako Arrangement: Miyako/LOVEBITES

Thanks for the info on the writing of Break the Wall! I love that Miho, a bassist, wrote the foundation of the song. It's definitely interesting to learn of the Gary Moore influence on the solo! I will have to listen back to it again with that in mind! 🤘

Asami maybe only 4' 10" but put her on stage with a mic and she becomes this Napoleon stage general who works the crowd like a real master. Miyako taugh herself to play at 18 and Gary Moore was a real influence that you can hear in this piece. Midori is the usual nasty smiling demon knowing your face and brain are about to be fried. Then we have the merciless kit beating 4' 9" dynamo just driving the song fron start to finish. Miho shines here and as usual is underrated but her and Haruna are locked in so tight there literally is no room for a wayward note to even try and fit in. Again, Scream for Me and Sign of Deliverance are the 2 M&M spectacularly guitar beating songs that landed them on the Most Wanted posters from the Guitar Rescue Society LOL!!!

Wow, I didin't realize Asami is 4'10"! She definitely knows how to connect with the audience! I enjoy hearing the different influences of the Lovebites members, because they aren't really obvious to my ears which is a good thing. Thanks so much for checking out my video, for the info, and the suggestions! 🐺🤘

One of my favorites! I love Miyako's guitar singing along with Asami on the chorus, Midori's almost out of control solo (she hits some uncommon note combinations and I love it), and then as you mentioned that entire breakdown, with Miho's amazing bass tone and then Miyako's solo. Coming out of that, Asami gesturing to the crowd and Miho one-hand playing the bass fist pumping the crowd was awesome too. Really great song. I have not seen them live. I tried twice this year - once in March for one of the Tokyo comeback shows and once for the Osaka show (it would have been my first trip to Japan so I wanted Tokyo or Osaka so I could see Kyoto). They are a very, very hard band to see live, but they were at Wacken once and did tour once in the UK with Dragonforce, so I am sure some here in the comments have seen them. I suggest Thunder Vengeance next. That's the opener for the Zepp 2020 show and Miho wrote it. That or maybe one of the "E" songs, and my pick for that would be the less often reacted to Empty Daydream from 2019. There's two videos out there for that one - one has the lyrics on screen and one does not. I love both of these songs, but let's be honest, I love most of their songs. All of them I think. Lol.

Thanks for checking out my video, and for the suggestion! Lovebites is such a high energy band, and there's so much to take in at once! Miho's bass tone sounded like she had a bit of chorus on it, but that is such a sweet section including the solo. I have not seen a live show in quite some time, but Lovebites is a band that I would love to see live! 🤘

There are a lot of bands with great guitarists. There have been few with the luxury of two great guitarists. I go all the way back to Allman/Betts and Allman/Clapton, and I’ve never heard another song with two solos that were so great yet so different. This captures perfectly the contrasting styles and personalities of the two guitarists-Midori the extrovert and shredding demon, Miyako the introvert and goddess of blues (who can also shred when she feels like it). I was already hooked on Lovebites, and sold on the dual leads, but this is the song that convinced me just how great they are. Really nothing like them, ever.

It really is remarkable to have two players at the level of Midori and Miyako share the same stage, and you certainly can hear how it leads to some wonderful songwriting! 🤘

When Miyako brings out the Les Paul, you know it's going to be special. Miyako is a Dean artist and has 2 signature models but is known to play other brands like Gibson if it fits the song better.

Just a little tip on pronouncing their names: MEE-ǝ-ko MI-dǝ-ri HA-runa AH-sǝ-mi MEE-ho FAH-mi Typically the accent is on the first syllable. Vowels are more European style than American style; the "ǝ" means the sound is almost silent. Fami is not an actual Japanese name, but a name she made up for herself when she was a kid. Hope this helps!
@ChadTheDragonLord
@ChadTheDragonLord Жыл бұрын
The accent is on the second syllable not the first for Asami, Midori, Miyako, and Haruna.

@@ChadTheDragonLord Check out their introductions from HMND, or the time Asami says "Haruna, give me the beat", or when Asami points to Miyako before her solo in "Scream for me". There is very little difference among syllables but slight emphasis on the first.

@@hiawatha.g kzfaq.info/get/bejne/j6d7n85ym7uudp8.html In this video they all introduce themselves. I believe you are correct on Haruna's name. But I definitely hear an accent on the second syllable for Asami, Midori, and Miyako.

@@shorecat By the way, technically, Japanese has no accents in the way we think of them. Spoken properly, they do not make one syllable louder or softer than another. They accent by raising the pitch of a particular syllable. This is almost impossible for Westerners to master. We interpret the raised pitch as "louder".
