@Jurica Sambol still better to reset by someone crashing the wave than to let the already ahead Irelia get a free permanent freeze. If Ryze uses his mana to ult he still gets a freeze on his side that doesn't need mana to CS. Despite being down 50 CS he is still safe under tower as 2nd tower is significantly easier to setup a gank if Irelia attempts to crash.

@Jurica Sambol may I ask what time you're referring to. Because I was referring to the fact that 12 minutes into the game Ryze had an opportunity to freeze at his t2 yet instead shoved and gave Irelia the free freeze top. Like don't get me wrong you want to snowball/win of lane leads thats natural, but if Ryze froze there he would've been able to catch up in CS/exp. Not put his team down by taking their jungle camps and Lane exp. Even if he backs he forces an enemy to walk all the way to t2 in order to crash the wave which is risky as jungler can be anywhere due to not needing to force lane control as drag/rift ain't up. Not to mention a freeze at that location is more benefical than what Ryze did anyways. A team fight is unlikely to break out as there is no need for full lane control due to no neutral objectives. Irelia only could attempt to force fights in other lanes but that's problematic when again there is no objective to fight over. you already know that Ryze has effectively been doing nothing but be a net loss for their team thanks to shared lane exp and has not accomplished much in his roams. The only thing that Ryze could do by letting Irelia freeze was to hope to God they win the 5v4 before Irelia gets even more fed than she already has as they don't get any sort of important objective, shoving would've been a reasonable play if they were able to get something out of it, like a 5v4 drag fight that they should win, but no objectives and no Cs gained. Meanwhile Irelia gets the 100 Cs gap, exp gap, on top of already having 5 plating. Meanwhile Ryze gets some exp and gold from camps and a fight that shouldn't have occured in the first place. Of course you could be talking about a different moment. Then this comment should have just not happened.

Adding on, that freeze by Irelia forces the enemy team to play in such a way that it effectively snowballs the game just by existing. Let's say jungler comes top to break freeze great, they kill Irelia and crash, even better, but the issue here is that Lee Sin gets free farm, jungler and top are sharing exp which has been occurring the entire game by Ryze existing, this makes Lucian despite winning lane not have as big of a gap as he would've had if Ryze was in his own lane freezing. While Irelia could've used their lead and went aggressive to push their lead onto other lanes, but its shown that freezing whilst not the traditional way to snowball still works in a scaling matter that forces enemy lanes to be down by virtue of the enemy laner being unable to do anything other than roam or waste resources on the already heavy Cs lead that allows free map pressure on the other side. Irelia could have very well just saw Ryze freeze and start roaming attempt kills and get turrets but issue comes when Kennen lost lane, bot Lane is winning, naturally this should be the perfect recipe to force mid control and get Drake but again no neutral objectives are up so only value you could get are turrets. Now with a freeze you allow Kennen to catch up in exp to his laner if Ryze paths through middle, you allow your other lanes/jungle to get ahead more if they ever send people to crash the wave at top lane, and you don't lose fights at drake/rift cause you have bot control and they're not up in the first place.

I feel you buddy, he has a lot of content, but its one person and he gets overshadowed by so many challenger guides/analyst who dont really explain WHY but only say HOW.

@@riche7846 I believe you're on reddit a little too much. LS is never overshadowed, there are no better coaches/analysts that go public with their knowledge. He doesn't base his comments off on NA/EU/KR regions which most other so called analysts/sites do. His knowledge is solely based off of following the Chinese server; where the meta develops and gets passed onto other regions which is the main reason what LS says becomes meta in a week or two (Support cheese top, Freezing in CH server in S6, cheater recalls in CH in worlds when no one was doing, full jungle rotations to max out on xp rather than forcing ganks, and many other meta related changes). The only reason you feel that he is "overshadowed" is due to the pisslow mentality reddit has. There is a certain reason why 99% of the ranked players are clueless regarding the game.

LS is a genius in league strategy but here's the thing. Let's say you want to be better at a game and you need to be more patient. Here are two ways someone can tell you to be more patient: 1: "Hey man if you're more patient on waiting to use your ultimates for the carry, you'll win more teamfights" How LS gives advice 2: "Are you kidding me!? You blew your ultimate already? If you had a half a brain you'd realize you should save it" The way LS approaches arguing is also extremely defensive. He's usually right, but when he's wrong he can refuse to admit it, making him seem untrustworthy. LS is a very smart dude, worthy of any praise he gets, but he's also worthy of his criticisms. There are some analysts that barely have a plat understanding of the game but what they do understand, they can explain well and in a simple way. LS has a constant frustrated tone with any review of play, personally it makes it hard for me to watch.

@@smoothiewrld999 you do know whats irellias range right? it Q range from the creeps. lvl 5 irellia can WQ the range minions with 2 broadsword which in this game d blade and a sword. then you wont play until 6? lets say u got 6 and Warp 4 of your walking minioms then irellia will clear the minions and the wave will crash cause you cant freeze since you have used ur ult. posible dive for irellia and his jungle or a solo kill if u mess up tower huging ur tower. the best result for ryze will be a wave reset and u got no ult for another 2 mins.

thats not it either, these are super high elo players pulling this shit. Your (our) plat/gold teams, and even worse: bronze and silver will NEVER fkin do this. Might find 1/1000 games you get people that agree this is how to play the game. Like LS has said, for our elo, its about mastering the fundamentals: positioning, mouse movement, map awareness, damage perception and a few more. You play around yourself and work toward mastering the fundamentals. These strategies, as well as, meta picks, drafting, etc become more useful once you start playing with people that have a good grasp on the fundamentals, and an understanding of what role and their champs entail in the game.
